(Clearwisdom.net) Yuhui is over fifty years old this year. She worshiped three Buddha statues at home and also worshiped a "fox and yellow weasel" tablet. She sincerely chanted scriptures and kowtowed to the Buddha statues every day. She also gave a Buddha statue and scriptures to her daughter-in-law, who likewise kowtowed to the Buddha statue, burned incense and chanted scriptures every day.
Last year Yuhui fell ill, and a hospital examination showed that she suffered from bone necrosis. She spent a lot of money on treatment but achieved few results. The doctor said that she needed surgery to remove two thigh bones and that the operation would cost more than one-hundred thousand yuan. Even with this, it was not guaranteed that the disease would be cured. Yuhui didn't want her daughter to bear huge medical expenses for her, so she lay in bed in pain every day and was in despair.
Her children were worried and sad. Her daughter-in-law worshiped Buddha devoutly and prayed for her, but she didn't get any better. In despair the daughter-in-law thought of her mother who was then living in the Northeast and who practiced Falun Gong. She phoned her mother and told her of her mother-in-law's situation. Her mother wanted to talk to the mother-in-law but was told she was too sick to receive phone calls. Her mother told her to clarify the truth of Falun Dafa to her mother-in-law.
Several days later, Yuhui herself phoned her daughter-in-law's mother in the far Northeast even though her voice was very weak. The in-law who practices Falun Gong clarified the truth of Falun Dafa to her and also explained to her the real purpose of being a human being. Even though she there was a risk that the phone was being monitored by Chinese Communist Party agents, saving people was uppermost in her mind. She told her daughter to send an MP3 to the mother-in-law for her to listen to the Fa and asked her daughter to find Falun Dafa practitioners to teach Yuhui the exercises.
Yuhui began to listen to the Fa and practice the exercises. She began to feel better and better. One day her daughter came to see her and saw that she was at the balcony doing the standing exercises. She was puzzled because her mother always lay in bed, but today she could stand still there.
The more Yuhui listened to Master's lectures, the more she understood and knew that this was what she had been searching for. Her health continued to improve and she even dismissed the housemaid. Yuhui could now look after herself. One month later she could take her granddaughter to the market and go shopping. She recovered completely after months of suffering from the illness. She was as happy as a bird released from a cage. But even more, she found the Buddha Fa and the Truth after a lifetime of searching. She said to her daughter-in-law: "This Dafa is so good. How did I not obtain the Fa earlier. If I had obtained the Fa earlier, my whole family would have benefited." Without hesitation, she destroyed or gave away all the Buddha statues and the fox and yellow weasels' tablets. She was determined to cultivate Dafa. Her daughter-in-law saw the changes in her and said, "Falun Dafa is miraculous." She started to practice Falun Dafa as well.
Yuhui told her daughters the facts of Falun Dafa. The daughter who was overseas came back to see her mother and saw that Yuhui had recovered completely. She was very grateful to Dafa, and she went back home with peace of mind.
