Mayor Issues a Proclamation to NTDTV in Person as Holiday Wonders Show Debuts in Atlantic City (Photos)


(Clearwisdom.net) The Divine Performing Arts of New York, which had just performed ten shows on Broadway, debuted in the famous Caesars Circus Maximus Theater in Atlantic City, New Jersey on December 28, 2007. Mayor Scott Evans of Atlantic City issued a proclamation to NTDTV in person at the theater.

Holiday Wonders Show debuts in Atlantic City, performers answer curtain call


Dr. Ida Butler said she felt the deep meaning of the lyrics even though she could not completely understand them.


Lillian (second from left in the rear row) and her friend brought six children to watch the show. Lillian said the show made her feel peaceful and happy.


Darlene Van Oster (right), and Peggy Clayton. Darlene said that in the dances, there was discipline, autonomy and meaningful stories. She said, "We like the way in which principles were conveyed through dancing."


Nancy Aiken said she and her children liked the show. Nancy said they had never seen such a wonderful show on Chinese culture. She thought it was a meaningful education session for the children.


Revanti Gala, owner of a hotel, praised the show for its beautiful costumes, color, and music.


Camilo Leal said the show was wonderful, interesting, unique, and different from others. There is something behind each performance.

Revanti Gala, a manager of a hotel, said after watching the show that the dancers had elegance and dignity. Their hand gestures and movement were beautiful and were similar to Indian dance. "I understand that the dances tell people principles: what is good, what is bad and how to do good things; the root of peace is kindness and righteousness."

Camilo Leal, a native of South America said after watching the show that people from different cultural backgrounds seem to like Chinese culture. Not only the grace of Chinese culture, but also the righteous spirit of the culture helps people accept and follow the principles.

The meaning of the lyrics transcends all

Ida Butler from New Jersey said happily after watching the show, "Wonderful and surprising! All the costumes, the dancing, and culture seemed like a dream. I never saw them before."

Ida and her friends talked about coming back to watch the show the next day with more friends. "I'll tell my husband. He must come with me tomorrow. Also my relatives and friends must come to see too. I am very happy. I could talk about it for a whole night."

Ida liked most the dance "Drummers of the Tang Court."

After watching the show, Ida wished she could understand Chinese. She said that she had learned something about China and respected Chinese culture.
