(Clearwisdom.net) On the afternoon of February 3, 2007, the establishment of the Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong (CIPFG) Europe was announced at a press conference in front of the Chinese Embassy in London. The CIPFG Europe currently have more than 40 members of government and prominent members of society from European countries, including members of Parliament, senators, lawyers, clergymen, chairmen of NGOs, doctors, writers, journalists and officials from major enterprises and governments in over a dozen countries. Below are some of the support letters that the CIPFG Europe has received:

1. A Swiss official: Harvesting organs from human beings by violence is to take apart, bit by bit, our humanity.

I agree to join this coalition so that everything might come to light regarding this barbaric practice of organ harvesting.

In opposing barbarism in every form we may hope to save our civilisation. If not, we will become worse than animals.

Harvesting organs from human beings by violence is to take apart, bit by bit, our humanity.

What is at stake in this fight, beyond the victims, is the very principle of human freedom.

2. An Advisor from the Geneva Government: ... a mission be Speedily Established.

I hereby give my full support to the principle of sending a mission of inquiry to China concerning the crimes of which practitioners of the Falun Gong spiritual movement are reportedly the victims. Indeed, the signs seem to indicate that these practitioners are subject in imprisonment, torture, even the death penalty, simply because of their adherence to this movement. It seems essential henceforward to validate these accusations.

In the hope that such a mission be speedily established.

I send you my sincere greetings.

3. An Amnesty International Ireland Member: We Are Not Silent Now

The Irish branch of the CIPFG has its roots in the Friends of Zhao Ming, a small group set up to campaign for the release of Trinity College (Dublin) student Zhao Ming from Changhun City, Jilin Province. FOZM worked with other organizations, principally Amnesty International Irish Section, to put pressure on the Chinese authorities to release Ming.

After achieving this goal the group mostly disbanded but a few went on to form the Friends of Falun Gong.

These few are glad to become the Irish voice of CIPFG and to continue the struggle to bring to light the terrible sufferings of Falun Gong practitioners in China today. We were not silent when Zhao Ming was in prison, we are not silent now and the only time when our voice will be quiet is the day the Chinese government frees the Falun Gong prisoners and brings to an end the torture, persecution and murder of peaceful people.

4. Brian Coleman, member of Greater London Assembly: I call upon the Government of China to call an end to these inhuman and disgusting transplants.

"I am sorry that I cannot join you today at your press conference. I wholeheartedly support the work of the Coalition to investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong in China. I am extremely concerned at the reports of organ harvesting from live Falun Gong practitioners and I utterly condemn this abhorrent practice which contravenes all international human rights legislation and common decency. I call upon the Government of China to call an end to these inhuman and disgusting transplants.

Brian Colemn, member of Greater London Assembly

5. President of an International Committee in Denmark: I lend my support wholeheartedly to the CIPFG.

I wish to add my support to the establishment of the Coalition to Investigate of the Persecution of Falun Gong (CIPFG)

It is vitally important that all nations outside China should join together in condemning the ruthless activities of the Chinese authorities towards Falun Gong, and that an investigation should be initiated to find out exactly what has happened in China's labour camps and prisons over the last seven years since the persecution began, especially regarding the source of the harvesting of human organs for transplant.

We owe it to the many millions of people who have suffered at the hands of this brutal regime to root out the evil perpetrators of these terrible crimes. We hope China can issue visa to members of European CIPFG who wish to go to China to investigate.

I lend my support wholeheartedly to the CIPFG.

Yours sincerely,

President of an International Committee

6. A Consultant Psychiatrist, Ireland: As a medical doctor I cannot feel kinship with my colleagues in China...

To all attendees at the press conference:

The establishment of the European branch of CIPFG is another milestone in the pursuit of truth about the persecution of Falun Gong throughout China. Since its commencement, this persecution against the peaceful participants of the practice of Falun Gong has escalated terms of its cruelty, barbarism and relentless abuse of men and women who espouse the values of Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance. We have heard of labour camps, torture and murder of practitioners, we have heard of enforced psychiatric confinement without justification, now we hear of organ extraction from live practitioners and are left to wonder about the residual depths to which the Chinese Communist Party can sink. The spotlight of the world needs to be trained on these evil practices where the darkness of perverted science has virtually extinguished all hope. The investigations which the CIPFG will call for, have the capacity to reveal the extent of the excesses of the human rights abuses to which thousands of Chinese are subjected every day. As a medical doctor I cannot feel kinship with my colleagues in China whilst these abuses are being perpetrated by other medics who abuse science, turning healing into an instrument of torture. We all have a collective responsibility to ask the Chinese Communist Party to end these practices against Falun Gong and admit responsibility for past sufferings.
