On January 30, 2007, Liang Ying, a Dafa practitioner from Chicheng County, Hebei Province was reported to the police while she was distributing truth-clarification materials in her hometown, Mayingxiang. Public security police from Tianjiayao District secretly followed and arrested her. She was then sent to a detention center in the city of Zhangjiakou.

Ms. Liang Ying started practicing Falun Dafa in 1995. In May 2001, she traveled to Beijing to validate Dafa. She was later arrested and sentenced to prison for five years, and was not released until May 9, 2006. On September 28, 2006, because she clarified the truth in public, she was arrested by police from Tianjiayao District, Chicheng County and jailed for 15 days in the Shisanli Detention Center in Zhangjiakou City. Just three months later, she was again arrested by police.
