Save Sentient Beings with Righteous Thoughts

I obtained the Fa in 1995 and have remained a Dafa practitioner to this day, relying on my resolute faith in Dafa and Master. Yet at this final, final phase of Master's Fa-rectification, more often than not I could not muster enough energy to perform the three things. For example, I could not settle down to study the Fa. Also, I lapsed in doing the exercises. I often wanted to take naps. I got lazy, and I could not open up when clarifying the truth face to face and trying to persuade others to quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). I thought it would be safer to distribute truth-clarification materials in areas away from my home or where people did not know me. I had the attachment of preference. I did not dare to clarify the truth to people visiting me at my home or those helping with my household chores. I was afraid people might report me to the authorities.

Master said,

"It does not matter if an everyday person gets involved in the affairs of everyday people, as he or she will apply the principles of everyday people to size things up. You must use the supernormal principles to look at things. It is a xinxing issue if you do not help stop a murder or arson when you see it. How will you otherwise demonstrate that you are a good person? If you do not help stop a murder or arson, what would you get involved with?" (Zhuan Falun)

I am a Dafa practitioner, I came to help Master to rectify the Fa and save sentient beings. Yet, at this critical juncture of helping Master to rectify the Fa and save sentient beings, I was still mired in apathy, idleness, and fear. Why was I like this, a Dafa practitioner yielding to human attachments? I calmly looked within, and it was none other than deep-rooted selfishness. I discovered it was the arrangement of the old forces and postnatally acquired notions. I then jumped out of the old forces' trap; cleansed my mind with righteous thoughts; thoroughly eradicated the factors of the old forces and acquired notions, and refused to recognize the old forces themselves. I am a being created by Dafa; I will walk the path arranged by Master, and I do not want anything else. No evil factors are permitted to interfere with me. I should study the Fa with a calm mind and strengthen my righteous thoughts.

"The Fa can break all attachments, the Fa can destroy all evil, the Fa can shatter all lies, and the Fa can strengthen righteous thoughts." ("Drive Out Interference" in Essentials for Further Advancement II)

Master said,

"I also want to tell you that your nature in the past was actually based on egotism and selfishness. From now on, whatever you do, you should consider others first, so as to attain the righteous Enlightenment of selflessness and altruism. So from now on, whatever you do or whatever you say, you must consider others--or even future generations--along with Dafa's eternal stability." ("Non Omission in Buddha Nature")

After I became clear on the Fa principles and sorted out what was my true self, my xinxing was also raised based on the Fa. I could see that sentient beings are quite pitiful and suffering. I only have one thought--to save sentient beings. Regardless who they are, if I could reach them I would try my best to clarify the truth to them and urge them to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations. Once I asked two roofers to fix my balcony. I sent forth righteous thoughts while they worked, then I clarified the truth to them and asked them to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations. After they finished the job, they also quit CCP. I was so moved. I told them to ask their family members to quit the CCP, so their family members would also save themselves. I gave them a Dafa talisman and reminded them, "Falun Dafa is good." When they thanked me, I told them, "Don't thank me. If you want to thank somebody, thank my Master instead." As they parted, they said our meeting was truly predestined. I said, "Yes, it is. Otherwise, how come you two came to help me fix my house." They left in joy. I was so happy for them.

A while back, I was pushing my bicycle along the road. A Jeep came up behind me, and all of a sudden its front wheel ran over my foot. The driver was not aware of what had happened. I tapped on the car and told the driver, "Your car rolled over my foot." Only then did the driver stop the car, but my foot was still under the tire and I still could not pull it out. I knocked hard on the hood of his car and yelled at him, "Please move your car back a little. My foot is still under your tire, and I cannot pull it out." But when he moved his car it rolled over my foot again. I was mad and wanted to scold him. But I thought to myself, "I am a Dafa practitioner and I should not get exasperated. Instead, I should demonstrate the demeanor of a Dafa practitioner." So I calmed down. I did not get incensed and felt more at ease. I put forth one thought and asked Master to strengthen me, so that I could validate the Fa and save sentient beings. It's most important to save people, and nothing else matters. The driver said after getting out of the car, "I am sorry, very sorry. Are you all right? Let's go to the hospital and get you looked at."

It turned out that my foot just had a little abrasion. I told him, "I am OK. Everything is fine. You ran over my foot today; if you had run over someone else's foot you could have caused some serious injury to them. But I am not an ordinary person, I am a cultivator. I cultivate in Dafa, and I practice Falun Gong. We Falun Gong practitioners are all good people. I won't cause you any trouble, and I won't try to extract a penny from you. Please remember that Falun Dafa is good. Do pay more attention when you are driving. You can go now."

There were a lot of people watching us, including the police. I raised my voice, "Falun Dafa is righteous; Falun Gong practitioners are all good people. What they said on TV about Falun Gong were all lies. They were deceiving you." Before I left I told the people that had crowded around, "It is predestined that we met today. All of you please remember that Falun Dafa is good." They all nodded. I pushed my bicycle and started walking away. Before I had gone very far, I thought to myself, "I must try to truly save them." So I turned around and found the driver, who was trying to find a parking spot. I went up to him and said hello When he saw that it was me again, he was stunned and rather apprehensive. I quickly told him, "Don't worry, I did not return to make trouble, I am trying to save you because I care about you. There is an important thing that I need to make clear to you." He asked, "What is it?" I said, "Did you ever join the CCP or any of its affiliated organizations?" He said, "Yes, I did." I said, "Heaven condemns and will eradicate the CCP. You must quit the CCP to be saved." I then gave him a Dafa talisman. We started chatting after he parked his car. He told me, "I work for a government department that is specifically assigned to deal with Falun Gong. You should perhaps stop practicing when the government forbids you to practice." I replied, "Then I need to explain to you very clearly today. Falun Gong practitioners are all good people, and all hold themselves to the principle and standard of 'Truth, Compassion, Tolerance.' They are kindhearted, never do bad deeds, and never violate the law. You tell me, why should they be banned? It was all because Jiang was jealous of Falun Gong. He used the CCP and abused his power. The 'Tiananmen Self Immolation' was staged to deceive the public and incite hatred against Falun Gong. The Jiang and Luo regime abused their authority and killed and injured so many Falun Gong practitioners. From the moment when Jiang declared that the CCP must annihilate Falun Gong, the fate of the CCP was sealed. Now Falun Dafa has spread all over the world and is practiced in more than 80 countries. The only country where Falun Gong is banned is China. This is the autocracy of the CCP. It does not want people to believe in anything but the CCP. It also promotes atheist doctrine. It controls people's thoughts. That good deeds will be rewarded with good, and bad deeds will receive due retribution is the law of the Cosmos. It won't be determined by mere mortals."

I continued, "Let's use today's incident as an example. You witnessed in person that your car ran over my foot. The tire ran over my foot. Yet I only suffered a little abrasion. I did not squeeze you for a penny nor cause you any trouble. Now you tell me, in all conscience, aren't Falun Gong practitioners good people? As genuine practitioners, we are not interested in ordinary people's power. We only want you to know exactly what Falun Dafa is. The final goal of our Falun Dafa is to cultivate Buddhahood. Buddha is not superstitious. You know Sakyamuni is a Buddha and existed in history. It has been seven years since Jiang usurped the nation's machinery to suppress Falun Gong. They slandered Buddha and the Fa and killed and injured countless practitioners. They are still imprisoning practitioners even now. You think about it, how much sin have these people committed when they murdered, injured and maimed people who cultivated Buddhahood. Our Master was immensely compassionate and foresaw the calamity brought upon the Chinese people by Jiang and the evil CCP, so He asked his disciples to clarify the truth to people. Those who treat Falun Gong kindly will have a good future. Quit the CCP while you still have time. Look at all these people coming and going in the square, I am telling you all this for your own good. It is imminent that Heaven will annihilate the CCP. Quit the CCP as soon as you can to save yourself."

He listened quietly and nodded repeatedly. Finally he understood and said, "Please help me quit the CCP." I replied, "It was no ordinary predestined relationship between us. From now on, please don't do anything to undermine Dafa or persecute Dafa practitioners. You must remember that Falun Dafa is good. Our Master does not care about your occupation. He only cares about your heart. People talk about conscience. You must follow your conscience in your actions." He nodded again and said, "Yes." He thanked me and left.

I noticed after I got home that the sole of my shoe had been damaged by the tire, yet my foot was OK. Words could not express my gratitude to Master. Thank you, Master. I really felt that Master was right beside me. Master strengthened my resolve, gave me wisdom, and I truly experienced the immense compassion of the Buddha.

I realized that after you let go of every human attachment, let go every single notion, and thought, and do things with the purest mindset, then it is done with divine righteous thoughts.

Fellow practitioners, let us do our best, with all of our hearts and effort, to do the three tasks that Master has asked us to do. Leave few regrets. Let us fulfill the vows we made when we descended to the sentient world, reach consummation, and return home with our Master.
