Always Look Upon People with Compassion and Try Not to Lose Anyone

Greetings, fellow practitioners!

My name is Elena, and I live in the Ukraine. This winter I had an experience that led me to take a new look at our truth-clarifying efforts. I was handing out leaflets while other practitioners were performing the exercises. At that time, I had a sore throat and a fever. I tried to reject any incorrect thoughts as I handed out the leaflets, but it was difficult for me. In the distance, I could see an old woman who had stopped in front of our poster. The poster read, "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance," and she looked at it attentively. She was so old that she seemed too weak to stand, yet she stood at the poster for a fairly long time.

I felt I should go and give her a leaflet, but she had already begun walking away. Unfortunately, I was too lazy to run after her. Moreover, I was feeling ill.

As I continued handing out leaflets, I suddenly saw the elderly woman again. She was standing motionless in the middle of the sidewalk, with her back toward me, about 100 meters from where we were practicing the exercises. At first I was surprised. "Why is she standing in the middle of the sidewalk and not going anywhere?" I thought. "Maybe she is lost or has forgotten something." It was very strange to see her standing there for such a long time.

Suddenly I realized that she was waiting for me! She was waiting for me to save her. I had already intended to save her once, but in a moment of weakness I had neglected to do so. I thanked Master in my heart for directing and hastening me to the woman. When I came up to her and offered her a pamphlet, she looked at me with such kindness and gratitude that I had tears in my eyes. She thanked me warmly and took the pamphlet. She folded it neatly, put it in her bag, and went on her way with a smile.

I realized so much in those few moments. All sentient beings have come for the sake of the Fa, and they have all put their hopes in Falun Dafa disciples. It is simply unthinkable to miss anyone who can be saved, nor should we ever give in to moments of weakness, sentiment, or human notions only to miss opportunities. This incident reminded me that it is necessary to see all situations from the Fa's perspective, from a position of saving all sentient beings and using every opportunity to tell people the truth about Falun Dafa. This is our primary mission.

I want to finish my short experience sharing with Master's words from "Let Go of Human Attachments and Save the World's People":

"For a Fa-rectification period Dafa disciple, personal liberation is not the goal of cultivation: when you came, saving sentient beings was your great aspiration, and that is the responsibility and mission history has bestowed upon you in Fa-rectification. Thus great numbers of beings are to be saved by you. Dafa disciples, don't forsake the magnificent responsibility that has been bestowed upon you in Fa-rectification, and even less should you disappoint those beings, as you are now their only hope for entering the future."
