By a Falun Dafa practitioner from Singapore

Greetings, fellow practitioners!

I am from Malaysia. In 2003, I managed to come smoothly to Singapore to work in the National Library. Because I am educated in Chinese, and have no knowledge of English, I can only work as a cleaner. But working in a library has given me a chance to read a lot of books.

One afternoon in 2004, I went to the Esplanade Park and was given some materials about Falun Gong. Immediately I was moved by "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." These three words can evaluate a person as good or bad. At that time, I was curious why 100 million people were practicing Falun Gong. The practitioners at the site clarified the truth about the persecution to me and asked me, "What's your belief?" "Have you heard of Falun Gong before?" I replied, "I have no belief and have not heard of Falun Gong."

Before leaving Singapore, this practitioner gave me Zhuan Falun and The Great Consummation Way of Falun Dafa, and also told me that I must read continuously without break. Thus I learned Falun Gong for two weeks before returning to Malaysia.

After returning to Malaysia, I was still contemplating whether I should continue to practice Falun Gong. However, after reading Zhuan Falun, I decided to practice this Dafa.

One month later, I went back to Singapore to work and coincidently my workplace was near Esplanade. So every day I used my resting time to go over for practice.

Good things sometimes don't last. One month later, I was transferred to another job site. My off days are only two days per month. Working hours are long, making my Fa study and practice schedule very tight. At the moment I thought, this is an orthodox Fa! Once I decided to practice Dafa, there will be demonic interference. I'm challenging this interference with my determination to practice, and no one can interfere with my practice!

During practice and meditation, I could see big, small, white, round objects rotating--later I came to know these as Faluns!

Within this year of cultivation, I realized that Dafa is really big, immensely big! Dafa can explain every worldly maze, human mysteries and the universe. As stated in Lunyu,

"'The Buddha Fa' is an insight into all mysteries. It encompasses everything and leaves out nothing-- from particles and molecules to the universe, from the even smaller to the even greater." (Zhuan Falun, Internet Version, March, 2000,)

This lets me be more steadfast to forge ahead on this road of cultivation. This shows me how to be a good person, how to treat work, and colleagues. I won't live aimlessly because this Dafa can solve everything.

One's life is short, so what are we living for? It can't be that we're living for work, earning money and enjoyment in comfort? Pursuing a love life? Elderly people depend on children, looking after grandchildren? Just as in "Wealth with Virtue" from Essentials For Further Advancement,

"A young man seeks it to satisfy his desires; a young woman wants it for glamour and luxury; an elderly person goes after it to take care of himself in his old age; a learned person desires it for his reputation; a public official fulfills his duty for it, and so on. Thus, everybody pursues it."

Many people think that for cultivation, one has to be a monk. This is a wrong perception. I feel that if any of our audience here has not tried practicing Dafa, please come to understand more of Dafa. There is nothing to lose.
