A 68-Year-Old Woman's Cultivation Story

(Clearwisdom.net) My name is Zhang Yuzhen. I am 68 years old, and from Heilongjiang Province. I learned Falun Dafa in 1996. I was lucky enough to read the heavenly book Zhuan Falun, and I then decided to practice "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance." I decided to become a Falun Gong practitioner.

After I started the practice, I had several traffic accidents and once fell into a 10-ft deep roadside drainage ditch. I knew they were all karmic retribution. I was supposed to pay with my life but Teacher saved me.

After the persecution of Falun Gong started in July 1999, I was detained and arrested. In the ten years of my practice, Teacher always tipped me when I was about to come across a problem I couldn't resolve. He always stopped me immediately when I was about to do things I shouldn't. The story of my practice is full of Teacher's compassionate salvation.

After I studied "On the Journey" (Hong Yin II, version A), I felt my heart had become bigger and very pleasant, like I had come to a scenic place. One day I went to a practitioner's home to obtain some truth clarification materials. On my way there, I had to pass a police checkpoint. When my fear emerged, I immediately thought I was a practitioner doing the righteous thing of saving people and that I shouldn't be afraid. As I walked past the checkpoint, the police turned around and left. The police didn't return until after I had passed the checkpoint on my way home. I got my materials without any trouble.

As I studied "On the Journey" (Hong Yin II, version A) again, I suddenly understood. When I encountered danger while acting righteously, Teacher protected me and let me experience the wonder of "Look to the heavens in the canyon" ("On the Journey," Hong Yin II, version A). Though the evil was looking for me and persecuting practitioners, Teacher protected me and I barely missed it. This was "Where to find immortals, face to face, yet unable to recognize." (Hong Yin II, version A)

One evening, I went out to distribute truth clarification materials. I felt righteous at the time and successfully gave out materials to several families. As I moved on, I couldn't get my hand and the material out of my pocket. I was feeling anxious and stupid. A few steps further down the road, I saw there was a CCP agent hiding at the corner of the street trying to apprehend practitioners. I realized Teacher was protecting me. After I walked passed the agent, I successfully delivered the materials to a few more families and went home safely. There are a lot of examples like this with Teacher protecting me.

Ten years of practice has turned me from a person full of attachments and karma into a open and noble Dafa practitioner. Teacher used profound Fa principles to untie the knots in my heart, improve my physical health, and eliminate my human notions. Without Teacher's compassionate salvation, hints, protection, and helping eliminate my karma, I would be lost in the cycle of reincarnation.

On June 28, 2006, a practitioner gave me some fliers saying we needed to post them by the 30th. On the 30th, after dinner, when I was about to leave, a few guests came. I sat with them for a while and saw that they had no intention to leave. I was anxious. At the same time, I saw a police officer who monitored Falun Gong practitioners right outside my window chatting with some people. I was worried. I sent righteous thoughts to eliminate the interference and ask Teacher to help me. As soon as I was done, the police and the group of people were gone and my guests left. It was after 6:00 p.m. I still had to wait for my child and husband, who was ill, to go to sleep. I recalled Teacher saying in Zhuan Falun, "When it's impossible to do, you can do it." I really need to go and post the fliers! As my righteous thoughts emerged, my child said, "I am so sleepy my eyes can barely stay open. I am going to bed." It was a little after 7:00 p.m. He usually went to bed after 8:00 p.m. My husband said he was ready to go to bed as well. I knew Teacher was helping me and my heart lightened. I quickly helped them go to bed. Before I left home, they were both in a deep sleep. I went out and posted all the materials and returned home safely a little after 10:00 p.m.
