A Clear-Headed College Student

(Clearwisdom.net) On my way back home for the New Year's Holiday, I chatted with a junior college student. This student had a very clear mind and had his own unique opinions on many things.

We talked about the war against Japanese invaders. He said that he remembered a senior General in ancient China saying that if you killed ten thousand of your enemy, your own army would lose three thousand as a result. If a commander is inferior, then perhaps the loss would be even more.

How is it then, that during China's war against the Japanese in the mid-20^th century, an especially arduous eight-year war, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) army did not diminish at all? It actually grew in number. This underscores the fact that the main force in the war against the Japanese was not the CCP army, it was Chiang Kai Shek and the KMT army. Current CCP propaganda is all deception. It misleads the public to believe that it was the CCP who led the fight against the Japanese. The Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party explains a great deal more of the truth behind this situation.

As for spiritual belief, the student mentioned Falun Gong, offering his own unique perspective on the issue, which is quite sensitive in CCP ruled China. He said that Falun Gong is now spreading all over America. If the self-immolation of Falun Gong practitioners on Tiananmen Square alleged by CCP media was true, he asked why we don't see Americans burning themselves, too. The CCP media is only a tool and he does not believe the self-immolation was as reported. Falun Gong is spreading in many countries all over the world. If it is really as bad as the CCP claims, who would come to learn it? Overseas is not like China, where people are all forced by the CCP to do things. People all come to learn of their own will! This just demonstrates that Falun Gong is a very strong force.

To help prove to him the cruelty of the persecution of Falun Gong, I shared the facts of two cases with him. I said I had a schoolmate who was a treasurer of the county. Last year when the CCP promoted its "maintaining advancement movement" (a political tactic contrived to renew and strengthen party members' commitment to the CCP), the 610 Office in our county forced my schoolmate to be brainwashed and to write a "guarantee statement," repentance statement, and a "dissociation statement." My schoolmate refused their requirements, and he was fiercely beaten to death by the police. They threw his body into a well after his death and picked him up after three or four days. The 610 Office fabricated the death certificate to show that my schoolmate had drowned, and widely spread rumors saying that he committed suicide to attain enlightenment. When the body was picked up, it had bloodstains and scars all over. People asked officials at the 610 Office, "If he committed suicide to attain enlightenment, why was his body covered with scars and bloodstains?" The murderers had nothing to say. Another childhood friend of mine was sentenced to twenty years in prison because he intercepted TV cable signals to broadcast Falun Gong truth clarifying videos.

I commended him for having his own perspective on things, and asked where he got the courage to think this way.

The college student said, "It is because of my Chinese teacher in high school, a man then in his sixties. Every day when he finished his class, he tried to guide us to ponder if many of the things said by the CCP were true or not, by discerning for ourselves. He also taught us to change positions and think, that is, to put oneself into the position of others to think about things, so one can obtain an objective and fair solution to problems. One should ask for the reasons when he encounters something, not just say what others say about something. However, he said in the college entrance examinations that we should say that the CCP is good or we will be penalized and receive low scores. We would fail the exams. It is really sad! In the exams, we cannot express our own perspectives. Although I study now and see many things in society, facing the truth, I have completely lost hope in the CCP. The CCP is only good for the privileged class, not for the general public. No matter how great, glorious and correct the CCP boasts itself to be, the people will ultimately suffer if they follow it."

Seeing this, I can only say that Jiang's group will not accomplish its goal of destroying the righteous thoughts of the Chinese people.
