Falun Dafa Saved My Family

(Clearwisdom.net) There is a farm in a village in Hebei Province that is so tidy that every corner of the garden is full of joy.

Who could imagine that in the spring of last year, this was the home of a family in crisis? The head of the household, “Huili,” in his thirties, was seriously ill. The nerves in his hips were dead, and he could only move around with much difficulty using crutches. All of his savings had been spent on medical expenses. His wife groomed horses to earn some money. With this money she wanted to to send her children to school, but she also had to pay for her husband's medical expenses. She had to make ends meet, and she really found it very difficult. Huili often lost his temper because he was tormented by his illness. This aggravated the difficulties for his wife. Huili's mother-in-law was concerned and worried about them. She helped them to do chores and run errands and was so saddened by their plight that she was often in tears. She also asked for help from her relatives and neighbors. The whole family was on the verge of a break-up.

One day Huili's mother-in-law said, “We are at our wits end. Huili, you should practice Falun Gong. I have heard that Falun Gong has very good healing effects.” So Huili started practicing Falun Gong. He persisted in studying the “Fa,” doing the exercises, and cultivating his moral character, and soon the changes in his health became rapidly apparent. In a short time, he could walk without his crutches. Later he could do some light chores. In the autumn, he was the one who carried the corn harvest to the house. His mother-in-law happily spread the news to everyone she met, “After our Huili started doing Falun Gong, he could walk and also do chores, and I need not worry about him and his family any longer.”

Huili was a new practitioner, but with the help of veteran practitioners, he kept reminding himself that he was a Falun Dafa practitioner who should cultivate his nature and character. To let more people know about Falun Dafa, and the fact that Falun Dafa is being persecuted, he took out money to make “truth-clarification” materials. One time he took his tricycle out to sell apples. A young lady asked him to take the apples to her home. He thought, “Won't this affect my business?” Then he thought again, “Master said that when we meet with any incidents we must first be considerate of others. Her bicycle is small and could not take the weight of the apples, so I will take the apples to her house then!” In the end, after taking the apples, other people bought more apples from him. It was really an instance of a good thing happening for a good thing done.

Not long ago, it snowed. Huili cleaned up the snow for everyone on the street where he was staying. The neighbors said, “Practicing Falun Gong has really changed him.” Huili said with much emotion, “Master gave me a second life and Falun Dafa saved my family. I must persist in my cultivation of Falun Dafa.”
