Requests for Family Visits With Ms. Zhang Lianying Are Ignored (Photos)
(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Zhang Lianying from
Beijing suffered a severe cerebral hemorrhage after being beaten at the Beijing
Women's Forced Labor Camp. She was taken to Beijing Renhe Hospital for emergency
surgery. On March 30, 2007, two days before being removed from the critical
list, she was secretly taken to Tiantanghe Hospital, the Beijing Forced Labor
Camp hospital. Ms. Zhang Lianying's family repeatedly requested to visit her
and also asked for her release, but staff from the forced labor camp ignored
their requests. Ms. Zhang Lianying, after the surgery at Beijing Renhe
Hospital Ms. Zhang Lianying's family was very worried for more than two weeks, after
Ms. Zhang was moved from Beijing Renhe Hospital to an undisclosed location.
They called the Section Chief Shi of the Education Section of the forced labor
camp numerous times and asked for visiting rights. Shi first claimed that only
she could be a go-between between Ms. Zhang and family members. She pretended
that their visit request needed to be approved by upper level management. Not
being able to see her, Ms. Zhang Lianying's family was even more worried. They
still restrained themselves and kept calling to request to visit her with a good
attitude. However, Shi became ruder and ruder. Finally, Ms. Zhang Lianying's
family told her solemnly, "We are asking not only to visit her, but also to
take her out and go after the criminals who hurt her." Shi replied,
"That's not my responsibility." Then she slammed down the phone. On April 17, Mr. Niu Jinping, Ms. Zhang Lianying's husband, Qingqing, their
three-year-old daughter and other relatives went to the forced labor camp.
Section Chief Shi and a male guard from the Administrative Section talked to
them. They tried to evade them. Ms. Zhang Lianying's family asked about the
cause of the cerebral hemorrhage and the person responsible for the persecution.
Shi answered that they did not know and the Procuratorate had investigated the
case several times and had talked to Ms. Zhang Lianying. Her family member said
that the doctor from the Renhe Hospital concluded that her injury was likely
caused by a beating. The male guard said, "Her knocking her head against
the wall could also cause the injury." Her family members asked, "Do
you have monitors in each room?" "Not every room." "Then why
did you put her into the room without the monitor?" They could not answer. Ms. Zhang Lianying's family said that they asked for a medical discharge for
her. Shi said, "It's not up to us. The approval has to come from higher
levels, along with the OK from the 610 Office and your local police
station." The male guard said in the past, people in similar situations had
never been released until the end of their terms at the forced labor camp. According to Dr. Xue at the Beijing Renhe Hospital, who had performed the
surgery on Ms. Zhang Lianying, the cerebral hemorrhage was most likely caused
by being hit on the head. She not only had a severe cerebral hemorrhage, but
also had a lot of blood around her head. She was in critical condition and there
was a good chance of another cerebral hemorrhage after the surgery. The chances
of recurrence were heightened, especially since she was taken from Renhe
Hospital and sent to Tiantanghe Hospital before she was completely out of
danger. The family kept insisting, so Shi reluctantly took them to visit Ms. Zhang
Lianying at the Tiantanghe Hospital. Guards were stationed at several locked
doors leading to her room. Ms. Zhang's hair had grown out again, after being
shaved for the surgery. Shi and other guards repeatedly said that she recovered
well and she no longer needed injections or medicine. They claimed that she was
just relaxing and recovering. The short visit left Ms. Zhang Lianying's family even more worried. Staff at
the Beijing Women's Forced Labor Camp refused to release her. They claimed that
Ms. Zhang Lianying was completely recovered, just the opposite from what the
Renhe Hospital doctor said. Wasn't the staff at the forced labor camp getting
ready to torture her again? At the beginning of this year, Ms. Zhang Lianying
was beaten and injured by eight inmates at the Tenth Division of the Dispatching
Office of the forced labor camp. She was taken to Tiantanghe Hospital for
treatment for fifty days. On February 27, 2007, she was taken back to the forced
labor camp. But what awaited her was even more brutal torture. This time her
neck was tightened by a rope and her head was repeatedly hit until she suffered
cerebral hemorrhage. Now hearing the forced labor camp's claim that she had
"completely recovered," how could her family not be worried? At the end of the visit, Shi told Ms. Zhang Lianying's family members that
they had received so many phone calls and mail inquiries about Ms. Zhang
Lianying's that it stopped them from doing their regular work. Surrounded by many policemen, Qingqing said to her without any fear,
"Mom, let me sing a song for you." Then she clearly recited the Falun
Gong founder's "Entering the Gate of
No-Life" (from Hong Yin II) word by word: Riding a tiger, so hard it is to dismount No one had told her to do this. Dafa is measuring every one's heart. We hope
that the pure voice of the small child could help the evildoers find some
benevolent thoughts deeply buried in their hearts, so that they could do
something good to make up for their wrongdoings. We hope it is not too late for
them! We wish to express our sincere gratitude to practitioners and kind people,
both in China and overseas, who have worked tireless to rescue Ms. Zhang
Lianying, as well as to save the people whose minds were poisoned by the Chinese
Communist Party (CCP). We appeal for the unconditional release of Ms. Zhang Lianying and the end of
the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong practitioners immediately! Tiantanghe Hospital, the Beijing Women's Forced Labor Camp
