(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Gong practitioners in San Francisco held a rally and candlelight vigil on the evening of April 25, 2007 in front of the Chinese Consulate to commemorate and review the eight year peaceful and rational journey of countering the persecution that Falun Gong practitioners have walked through with utmost fortitude. They also condemned the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) inhuman harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners. They called upon the entire world to work together to safeguard justice and conscience, and immediately stop the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong.

More than a hundred practitioners from the Bay Area hold a candlelight vigil on the eighth anniversary of April 25^th in front of the Chinese Consulate to call for an end to the persecution

Heaven's elimination of the CCP is imminent. Falun Gong practitioners call upon Chinese people to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations as soon as possible

Though it was close to summer, it was still chilly in front of the Chinese Consulate. When it was getting dark, Falun Gong practitioners lit candles and unfurled banners reading "Falun Dafa is Good," "The World Needs 'Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance,'" and "Stop the Persecution of Falun Gong." They hoped more people would learn the wonderfulness of Falun Dafa and quit the wicked CCP organizations.

Falun Gong practitioner Shen Shumin, who personally took part in the "April 25^th Peaceful Appeal" in 1999, said that eight years ago, more than ten thousand Falun Gong practitioners went to the Appeals Office of State Council in Beijing to peacefully appeal. They asked for the release of 45 Falun Gong practitioners who were illegally arrested in Tianjin, to guarantee Falun Gong practitioners a legitimate environment to practice in, and to reinstate the publishing of Falun Gong books. This was Chinese citizens peacefully exercising their right of peaceful appeal endowed upon them by the constitution.

She said that the charges of "besieging Zhongnanhai," and "getting political" were "labels" that the CCP and Jiang branded Falun Gong with for the purpose of persecuting it.

Ms. Shen said, "Falun Gong practitioners' peaceful and rational perseverance in justice set a good example for the world's people. Falun Gong practitioners' peaceful appeal for safeguarding the universal truth of 'Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance' established an eternal moral monument in the human world."

Ms. Shen also said that truth is forever inextinguishable. Over the past eight years, even though the CCP has employed the entire country's machinery, and applied extremely brutal methods to persecute Falun Gong, Falun Gong practitioners have been peacefully and rationally using various means, including distributing truth clarification materials, participating in community parades and holding rallies and other activities to tell the world's people what Falun Gong is, and at the same time, calling for an end to the persecution.

North California Service Center for Quitting the CCP representative Zhen Wenbiao said that he was still in mainland China on April 25, 1999 when he had practiced Falun Gong for two years. But he did not know about the matter until he read it in the newspaper. He also knew at that time that there is an article in China's Constitution, which states that citizens have the right to appeal.

He said that the CCP's nature is wicked. Looking at it historically, since the CCP was established, it has never stopped persecuting and killing Chinese people. Kind Chinese people have given it opportunities one after another, hoping it will change. Falun Gong practitioners' peaceful appeal was another opportunity for it.

Mr. Zhen further pointed out that everybody has also seen that the CCP has never changed itself for the better over the years; instead, it has done so many bad deeds as to reach the limit. It even utilized its military and political system to do such a heinous atrocity as harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners. The CCP has done too many bad deeds, enraging heaven. It will definitely meet with heaven's punishment.

Ms. Zheng Lijuan, who took part in the candlelight vigil, said that the evil CCP's persecution of the Buddha Fa and the truth, was a choice for its own demise. Actually, heaven's elimination of the CCP is imminent.

Mr. Zhen said that since the publication of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, Falun Gong practitioners have been widely spreading it so as to help more Chinese people see clearly the CCP's evil nature, awaken their conscience and break away from the CCP as soon as possible, so that they would not be punished when Heaven eliminates the CCP.

Ms. Zheng Lijuan said that more and more people have been awakened, and learned what Falun Gong is. People could not help asking: why has the persecution lasted for eight years, but the number of people practicing Falun Gong has been increasing. People have gradually realized that the CCP is persecuting the fundamental conscience in the human world.

Mr. Zhen Wenbiao said that the current situation is that people who have been awakened are joining in spreading the Nine Commentaries. They tell people they meet to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations. As of today, the number of people who have publicly announced their resignations from the CCP and its affiliated organizations on the Epoch Times website has exceeded twenty million. More Chinese people are unable to pass their announcements of resignation outside China because of the internet blockade. They could only post their announcements in public places.

Ms. Zheng said that Falun Gong practitioners cultivate "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance," with great compassion and tolerance. When they suffer such brutal persecution, they still think of others. They tell people the truth for the sake of the future of those people.

Ms. Zheng finally said that she hoped people will cherish all the chances offered to them. Falun Gong issues are not at all small things. She hoped people will think carefully and be quick in finding the truth.

Two passersby, one from Spain, the other from Peru, were amazed at the solemn and serious scene. When learning the details, they immediately strongly condemned the wicked CCP. The Spanish young man said that wherever the Communist Party went, there would be killing. "We are quite clear that since the beginning of Mao's era, countless people have been killed by the CCP. The CCP is inhumane and takes people's life as flies. Everybody is endowed upon with basic human rights. We support you very much!"

Another young man said he could see Falun Gong practitioners peacefully appeal in front of the Chinese Consulate on a daily basis when he worked nearby about a year ago. It showed that things were serious. "I hope their wishes come true soon."

A resident living near the Chinese Consulate said that he noticed that Falun Gong practitioners have been protesting in front of the Chinese Consulate for several years. Sometimes they were there in the evening. Such persistence is precious. He said he was moved by such perseverance. It also urged him to learn more about Falun Gong. He hoped the persecution could be stopped soon.
