Canada: Falun Gong Practitioners Call for An End to the Persecution in front of the Chinese Embassy (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) For eight years, Falun Gong practitioners have been peacefully clarifying the truth and calling for an end to the persecution.

On April 25, 2007, Falun Gong practitioners from Ottawa held an activity, calling upon Chinese diplomats to quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and gain a wonderful future for themselves.

Calling for an end to the persecution

During an interview, Mr. Zhijing, a Falun Gong practitioner, said: "The CCP jailed 45 Falun Gong practitioners in April 1999, which led to the April 25 appeal of ten thousand practitioners. They peacefully and rationally appealed to their government with compassion and forbearance. Today, we see that the CCP is crumbling amidst this persecution."

Seventy-year-old Ms. Liu went to the Chinese Embassy in Canada on April 25, 1999 to support her fellow practitioners in China. She said that everybody appealed voluntarily, hoping they would be allowed to practice freely.

Mr. Shi Xingjian said: "It was a perfectly legal appeal in April 1999. The right to appeal is included in the Chinese constitution, but the CCP only cares about its power. It cannot tolerate any different thoughts and opinions. It has suppressed others, like religions and democratic movements throughout history. The CCP is evil to the core."

During the activity, reporters saw that the Chinese Embassy hired two locksmiths to install a lock on a side door of the embassy. According to Ms. Shi, who comes to the embassy every day to protest the persecution, the side door has never opened since Ms. Zhang Jiyan left the embassy. She asked: "Can they possibly lock up people's hearts?

Ms. Zhang Jiyan, who left the embassy on March 31, has said that the Chinese diplomats should take advantage of being in Canada to learn the facts about Falun Gong and the CCP. They should take the chance to quit the CCP and ensure a wonderful future for themselves.

Ms. Liu expressed to the reporter: "During an interview by Russiskaya Gazeta, Mr. Yeltsin, the former president of Russia, said that the collapse of the Soviet Union was a historical arrangement and meant to happen. Falun Gong practitioners have been clarifying the truth and opposing the persecution for eight years. I think that more people will wake up and leave the CCP. The trend of quitting the party is also history's arrangement."

Mr. Shi Xinjiang also said: "Chinese people cannot pin their hopes in a party which consists of criminals. China will have hope after the CCP is eliminated. Ms. Zhang Jiyan made a correct choice. I believe that most officials in the Chinese Embassy can also recognize the evil nature of the CCP and quit it."
