Practitioners Who Were Persecuted in Liangping County, Chongqing

This is a partial list of Falun Dafa practitioners who were persecuted in Liangping County, Chongqing City.

1. Ms. Xiang Yanxin, 55 years old, a practitioner from Shian Town, Liangping County in Chongqing, was an Advanced-Level Teacher at the Shian Town Central Elementary School. She was “illegally arrested” on September 14, 2001, and held at Liangping County Police Department’s Detention Center for nearly one year before she was sentenced to four years in prison. She was fired from her job and was sent to the Chongqing Women’s Prison. She was released on October 12, 2004.

2. Mr. Zhu Yuanhuang, 55 years old, is a farmer from Peiwen Town, Wanzhou District, Chongqing. He was arrested on August 31, 2001, and held in Liangping County Police Department Detention Center for nearly one year before he was sentenced to four years of forced labor. He was sent to Sanhe Labor Reeducation Farm in Wanzhou. He has returned home.

3. Ms. Zhang Zhirong, 38 years old, was a teacher at Shian Town Central School in Chongqing. She was arrested on August 26, 2001, and held in the Liangping County Police Department Detention Center for nearly one year before she was sentenced to five years in prison and fired from her job. She was sent to Chongqing Women’s Prison and released in May 2005, but she has gone down an evil path and turned against Dafa.

4. Mr. Jiang Shanrong from Fulu Town, Liangping County, 68 years old, is a retired employee from the Shian Town Credit Cooperative. He was arrested on September 14, 2001, and held in the Liangping County Police Department Detention Center for one year before he was sentenced to four years in jail with probation.

5. Ms. Qiu Shengshu from Liangshan Town, Liangping County, 67 years old, is a Level Two Teacher at a middle school. She was arrested in Tiananmen Square on November 24, 2001, and taken to Chongwen Detention Center in Beijing, where she was held for 15 days. Liu Tieli from the local police station and Wang Chongrong, a teacher and a colleague, picked her up. They sent her to the local custody center, where she was held for two months before she was sentenced to one year of forced labor. She was taken to Maojiashan Women’s Forced Labor Camp in Chongqing on December 10, 2001, and released on November 25, 2002.

6. Mr. Li Zhongping is a 35-year-old farmer from Jukui Town, Liangping County. Division Party Secretary Xie Lifu led Chen Kejun, Deputy Head of Jukui Town Police Station, and a group of police officers to arrest Li Zhongping from his home on May 20, 2002. They took him to the Liangping County Detention Center and held him there for two weeks. The guards savagely beat him and nearly killed him while he was in detention. He was sentenced to one year of forced labor and taken to Xishanping Forced Labor Camp in Chongqing. He has since returned home.
