"After Reading Zhuan Falun, I Can Stand Again"

(Clearwisdom.net) I am a Dafa practitioner and farmer from Jiangsu Province. I took a job as a laborer in Luoyang City in May 2006. One day, two villagers asked me to help them demolish a shed. The shed weighed over 2,000 jin (equal to 2,203 lbs or 1,000 kg), and covered over 40 square meters. The shed accidentally crashed down on me from a high elevation. The two people on top failed to warn the people inside to get out of the shed in time. I passed out right away. They immediately took me to the hospital where x-rays were taken.

The doctor came to talk to me when I woke up. He said, "Your injuries are very serious. You will be in a wheelchair for the rest of your life." I felt at that moment that the sky had collapsed on me. I was just over 40 years old. How could I survive the rest of my life? I had elderly family members and young kids. Neither of my two sons had married. My wife would suffer hardships along with me. I felt very sad and could not face this situation.

I suffered several days of pain in the hospital. A Falun Dafa practitioner came to visit someone at the hospital. He saw how injured I was. He stopped to ask me how I had been so severely injured. I told him the story. He said, "Don't be so sad. I have a way that can help you recover quickly. It could help you stand up again, but only if you believe in it!"

He brought a book and an truth clarifying amulet (1) to me the next day. He said, "You must check it out and read it earnestly. In such a situation, it is only our great merciful Master who can save you."

Since that day, I have read the book, Zhuan Falun, daily, done the Falun Dafa exercises, and listened to Master's lectures. When I have free time, I recite, "Falun Dafa is good" or "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance is good."

After several months, I was truly able to stand again. I felt incomparably grateful and happy. Our great merciful Master has given me a second life and made it possible for me to stand up again. I am thankful to Master and for the help of the Dafa practitioner. I am also grateful for my friends and relatives who gave me their strength, courage, and help.

I will forever practice Falun Dafa and do the three things well. I will strictly abide by the three words Master taught us--to be "truthful, compassionate, and forbearing." I understand that Master has suffered much for me. I will take responsibility for what I should be responsible for. I am determined and confident that I will be walking again in the near future. I will start anew on the right path and I will practice diligently. My family will be happier and better than before.

(1) Amulet - In China, practitioners sometimes clarify the truth by giving people something small to wear or cherish, bearing a few words reminding them of the goodness of Dafa.
