Practitioner Arrested While His Son Is Imprisoned

Mr. Wang Mingcai is a practitioner from Honghua Township in Tancheng County, Linyi City, Shandong Province. On April 18, 2007, the Xinyi City 610 Office arrested Mr. Wang while he was distributing Falun Gong materials in Xinyi City. He is currently being detained in the Hedong Detention Center in Xinyi City. Mr. Wang's arm was broken during one of the beatings that he endured.

Mr. Wang's son is also a Falun Gong practitioner. Several years ago, the Xinyi City 610 Office arrested him and sentenced him to five years in prison. He is currently being detained in a prison at Weishan Lake.

Mr. Wang's wife suffers from psychosis and has been unable to take care of herself for years. Mr. Wang is responsible for taking care of her, but is now unable to do that.

Not too long ago, Mr. Sun Jinhao, an employee of the People's Hospital of Xinyi City, was arrested when he was distributing Falun Gong materials in the Mohe Development Zone in Xinyi City. Mr. Sun is currently detained in the Hedong Detention Center. Police ransacked his home, and police officer Gu Jianjun (male) took away some Falun Gong materials and a printer.
