(Clearwisdom.net) After watching the TV series "Our Master" and reading the collection "Recounting Master's Benevolence," I was so moved that my eyes were filled with tears. Although Teacher has never personally come to our region to give lectures, practitioners in our area are equally safeguarded and saved by Master. We have all experienced Master's benevolence and witnessed the majesty and splendor of Falun Dafa.
Before I started to practice Falun Dafa, I was a stubborn materialist. As an atheist, I thought that even spaceships had flown to the moon without finding any deities. I did not believe in qigong, either, because I held that qigong, like ghosts and deities, were all superstitions. Unfortunately in 1991, my husband suffered a heart attack, a slight cerebral hemorrhage, and some climacteric symptoms. As a result, he could not fall asleep as usual. As soon as I came home from work, I had to accompany him, listening to his complaints about his life and work. After a while, this became more and more intolerable. I took him to various types of doctors, including both Chinese and western medical doctors. We even tried psychiatric medicine. After several periods of hospitalization, his illnesses remained uncured. In despair, I accompanied him to try qigong practice, something I did not believe in at all. After a while, however, his health improved. As a result, we kept on doing the qigong practice.
One night, I was practicing qigong on my balcony. It was a tranquil and beautiful night. While I was overlapping my palms over my lower abdomen in tranquility, my spirit suddenly left my body in less than half a minute. It kept floating up and up. Vividly and clearly, I saw scenes in other dimensions, and in fact, I saw gods and Buddhas. It was amazing. I was shocked and could hardly believe it. I kept asking myself, "What's going on?" I knew I was very conscious and what I saw was real. I was excited. Contrary to my belief, it turned out deities truly exist and are not superstitions. People cannot see them because only those who can elevate to a high enough level can see them. How spectacular qigong is! Since then, I was obsessed with qigong. Whenever there were qigong lectures, I would be there. Altogether, I learned a number of qigong practices and got involved in some bad qigong practices as well. Where could I find something higher than qigong? I was puzzled and lost.
One day in June 1996, I came across China Falun Gong (in Chinese) when I was browsing in a local bookstore. As I opened up the book, I read the lecture, "True Cultivation." Master said, "My truly cultivating disciples, what I have taught you is the Fa for cultivation of Buddha and Dao." (Essentials for Further Advancement) This sentence excited me greatly. "This is the Master I have been looking for! This must be the great law I have been searching for!"
The next morning, I found a Falun Gong practice site in a park near my home. At the back of the group, I was listening to the music, and learning the exercises by emulating other practitioners. When I was doing the second exercise and holding my arms above my head, I suddenly felt a stream of energy entering my Dantian (the area of lower abdomen) and it spun very rapidly. While I did not know back then that it was Master's Falun, I knew it had to be something good that Master gave me. On that day, I fortunately became a Falun Dafa practitioner.
After that, I started to do the exercises and study the Fa with other practitioners every day. In the morning, the practice site was tranquil. In the evening, we read Dafa books, exchanged our experiences on how to improve our xinxing, and helped one another to improve our understanding of the Fa. As we progressed in cultivation, we let go of our attachments to fame and gain, and we got along with our families and neighbors much better. We always thought of other people first whatever we did. When many practitioners went to their jobs, they worked much harder than they had before. When a practitioner committed a wrongdoing, others would kindly remind him or her from the standpoint of the Fa. Everyone tried to look within and cultivate oneself with the criteria of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance. What a pure land! These were truly the most memorable days of my life.
The stories of my fellow practitioners were the best testimony of Master's greatness and benevolence, and of the majesty and splendor of Falun Dafa. One morning, right after we finished our exercises, a lady in her fifties came to ask me, "Is this the Falun Gong practice site?" She told me that she lived very far from there and that she had been looking for us for several days. Lately, she obtained the book Zhuan Falun. When she finished reading Lecture One, she saw many bright things spinning in her home. When she looked closely, they looked exactly the same as depicted in the book, she explained. The next day, she again saw them spinning, but could not see the pattern clearly. A few days later when she was lying on a couch to rest, she saw a copy of herself walking out of her in her bedroom. She was so puzzled that she came to ask us. "Master explained all of these phenomena very clearly in this book. It was Master who guided you - a predestined person - to the path of cultivation practice," I said.
On another occasion, we played the videotape of Master's lectures for new practitioners. On the third evening, I was assisting an 82-year-old lady to walk downstairs because it was very dark. Suddenly she told me, "Master was here, even on the first night!" "What does Master look like?" I asked her, surprisingly. "He has curly blue hair and wears a yellow kasaya (robe)," she answered. Happy for her, I said to her, "You're truly fortunate, and you certainly have a predestined relationship with Dafa." In fact, whether we can or cannot see, Master's Fashen (Law Bodies) are constantly safeguarding every disciple. It is Master's benevolent safeguarding and tremendous sacrifice that has helped us to walk on the path to cultivation.
In the pictures taken by a practitioner in front of his home, I saw small golden dragons flying in each one. Some practitioners took pictures of a practice site on a winter morning. There were Falun and little angels in these pictures. These incredible wonders were the manifestation of the Fa, as Master taught us in Lunyu:
"As for phenomena that are intangible and invisible, but that objectively exist, real manifestations of those things appear here in our material world."
"Broadly shines a Buddha's light,
Justly setting all things right."

Master purified our bodies for each of us. Ever since I was a little girl, I had been weak. I suffered from many illnesses, including vertebra hyperplasia, which made it hard for me to turn over in bed, and a locked shoulder, which hurt my hands so much when I first did the second exercise that my arms trembled. In addition, I had bad throat infections and coughed badly for one to three months during every spring and fall. Also, I had diarrhea all year round since I was a little child. Whenever I was not careful enough, I was wracked by diarrhea. Soon after I started to practice Falun Gong, however, all of these symptoms disappeared completely.
Another story happened to a fellow practitioner of mine. Her lumbar vertebrae used to protrude so much that she could not walk because of the unbearable pain. Despite numerous visits to Chinese and western medical hospitals and to convalescent homes, the doctors concluded that it would be a miracle if she could live on her own after the treatments. However, a few months after beginning to practice Falun Gong, she was able to walk swiftly to work, take care of her father-in-law, who is in his eighties, and look after her little granddaughter. We have heard numerous stories like these.
On July 20, 1999, however, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) launched the widespread persecution of Falun Gong practitioners with their slanderous fabrications. Under the CCP's unprecedented persecution, practitioners have shown that they are indestructible like diamond. Numerous practitioners have used their lives to safeguard the majesty and dignity of Falun Dafa. At the last moment of Fa-rectification, each of us practitioners must do the three things well and keep up with the progress of Fa-rectification arranged by Master in order to live up to Master's benevolent salvation.
