Bulgaria: People of Plovdiv Welcome Falun Gong and Condemn the Persecution in China (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On May 12, 2007, the day before World Falun Dafa Day, Bulgarian practitioners organized a big information day in the second biggest Bulgarian city, Plovdiv. Flyers were distributed along with hand-made paper lotus flowers as a symbol of the purity and beauty of Falun Gong. Practitioners demonstrated the five sets of Falun Gong exercises and gathered signatures condemning the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China who are brutally oppressed by the Communist regime.

Practitioners unfolded big posters which immediately attracted the attention of many passersby. They started to gather in front of the petition and carefully read the information. Many of them asked questions about the essence of the practice and the reasons for the persecution. All the citizens of Plovdiv welcomed practitioners cordially and listened to their explanations. A woman liked the exercises so much that she left her address in order to receive by post the practice's introductory book, Falun Gong. Another person took the book that day as he wanted to read it. Many children signed the petition and gladly took colorful paper lotus flowers as souvenirs. The day was hot and sunny and the main street in Plovdiv was crowded with people.

Three media representatives came to cover the event, the national daily 24 chasa, the local newspaper Maritsa and the national TV station, Eurocom.
