Deeper Understandings of the Fa Come with Better Fa Study

(Clearwisdom.net) I am sixty years old. I had the great fortune to obtain the Fa in 1997. After 10 years of cultivation, I have had many personal realizations. However, recently things happening in my family have made me realize the importance of truly understanding the Fa. I would like to share this with other practitioners.

My husband is not a practitioner. In 2004, he had a clot in his brain. After medication, the situation turned better slightly. However, without any reason, he started to blame me every day. No matter whether I annoyed him or not, he always blamed me rather than anybody else. There was no improvement, even after my fellow practitioners sent forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil controlling him. The environment of my home was getting awful: all the pots and woks were broken. Ants and beetles were all over the house. Our grandson often needed to be hospitalized, sometimes for more than a month. I knew that something was wrong. However, I did not yet know the error in my practice.

One day, an inspiration suddenly emerged in my brain, "Look at the article, 'Expounding on the Fa'!" Therefore, I obtained the article, "Expounding on the Fa". After reading it, I reached a realization. Master said,

"For a long period of time the sentient beings in Dafa, especially the disciples, have had a misunderstanding of the Fa at various levels regarding xinxing improvement. Whenever a tribulation comes, you do not see it with the side of your original nature but view it completely with your human side. Evil demons then capitalize on this point and inflict endless interference and damage, leaving students in long-term tribulations. As a matter of fact, this results from an inadequate understanding of the Fa by your human side. You have humanly restrained your divine side; in other words, you have restrained the parts that have been successfully cultivated and have prevented them from doing Fa-rectification. How can the uncultivated side restrain your main thoughts or the side that has already attained the Fa? Having humanly fostered the evil demons, you allow them to capitalize on the loopholes in the Fa. When a tribulation arrives, if you, a disciple, can truly maintain an unshakable calm or be determined to meet different requirements at different levels, this should be sufficient for you to pass the test. If it continues endlessly and if there do not exist other problems in your xinxing or conduct, it must be that the evil demons are capitalizing on the weak spots caused by your lack of control. After all, a cultivator is not an ordinary human. So why doesn't the side of you that is your original nature rectify the Fa?"("Expounding on the Fa" in Essentials for Further Advancement, 2000, USA)

While reading this, it was as if the words were talking about me. When my husband blamed me, I thought that it was because he was sick. Therefore, I took him to see a doctor. When I found bugs and ants in my home, I bought insect killer. I thought that it was natural for my pots to leak. Master said,

"You should also be clear that 'natural' does not exist, and 'the inevitable' has reasons behind it. In fact, 'natural' is irresponsibly used by everyday people to make excuses for themselves when they are unable to explain the phenomena of the universe, life, and matter. They cannot imagine what 'nature' itself is. Under the influence of this kind of notion you think that all these tribulations are inevitable and that this is just the way it is, thereby developing a passive and pessimistic attitude. So your human side must stay aware. More importantly, your side that has attained the Fa must be clear."("Expounding on the Fa" in Essentials for Further Advancement, 2000, USA)

When I read this paragraph, tears came to my eyes. I knelt down in front of Master's picture and said, "Master, I am not steadfast. I am sorry!" Master smiled at me. Thereafter, I started to clear my husband's space by sending forth righteous thoughts.

Originally, I thought that I had passed the tribulation with Master's support. However, the old forces were unwilling to give up. Instead of blaming me, my husband just got angry and broke plates and bowls. I tried to talk to him but he would not answer. I started to search inward and found that I had not completely rejected the arrangements of the old forces. Therefore, the evil forces took advantage of my loophole to so-called "uplift my xinxing." At this moment, I thought of Master's words in "Explaining the Fa During the 2003 Lantern Festival at the U.S. West Fa Conference,"

"But all the same, Master doesn't acknowledge them. And you shouldn't acknowledge them either. Do things well in an open and dignified way, negate them, and strengthen your righteous thoughts some. 'I'm Li Hongzhi's disciple, I don't want other arrangements or acknowledge them'--then they won't dare to do that. So it can all be resolved."("Explaining the Fa During the 2003 Lantern Festival at the U.S. West Fa Conference")

From that time on, my husband's condition became better. After two days, when he woke up in the morning, I asked him how his arms and legs felt. He said that he felt relaxed. My home environment also became harmonious. The ants and other bugs disappeared.

Before, when I clarified the truth and tried to persuade people to quit the Chinese Communist Party and its affiliated organizations, people often could not accept my words. Now, it is much easier to talk to and convince people. I resolve to study the Fa more in the future to really understand the Fa, to be a steadfast disciple and to better walk every step of the cultivation path.
