Practitioner Mr. Jiang Anming's Health Rapidly Deteriorating After Being Abused in the Yubei Detention Center in Chongqing City

(Clearwisdom.net) On April 10, 2007, Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Jiang Anming, 69, was arrested for clarifying the truth about Falun Dafa. He is being detained in the Yubei Detention Center, Chongqing City. Due to the mistreatment by police and guards, his health is rapidly deteriorating and his situation is urgent.

Mr. Jiang was the former party secretary of the Office of the United Fronts Department. After he began to practice Falun Dafa in 1996, all his illnesses disappeared and he became very healthy. Since the beginning of the persecution of Falun Dafa on July 20, 1999, Mr. Jiang was determined in his cultivation and went to Beijing several times to clarify the truth. During his detention for going to Beijing in early 2000 to validate Dafa, he was brutally punched and kicked by inmates for seven days under the orders of prison guards. His back was severely damaged and he lost the ability to control his bodily functions. After going to Beijing for the third time in 2000, he was sent to Xishanping Labor Camp for six months. His term was extended for two more months, and he was later sent to the Geleshan Brainwashing Center before he was released.

On April 10, 2007, Mr. Jiang went on a spring sightseeing trip to the Yubei Region Conservation Garden with retired workers from the university. He clarified the truth to a local policeman who reported him. Around 2:00 p.m. that afternoon, he was arrested by police from the Yubei Region, Chongqing City. He has been detained in the Yubei Detention Center since his arrest. Due to the mistreatment in the detention center, Mr. Jiang has been affected by high blood pressure, headaches, tightness in the chest, and loss of control of his bodily functions. With instructions from the guards, the inmates did not allow him to urinate, which resulted in the rapid deterioration of his health.
