(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Huang Hongqi, a former student at Dalian University of Science and Technology, and a Mechanical Engineering major, was illegally arrested in February 2006. Guangzhou City Railway Police participated in his arrest. It happened because of his Falun Gong practice. Mr. Huang was then illegally sentenced to two years of forced labor. He was detained at the No. 3 Forced Labor Camp in Chini Town, Guangzhou City. Mr. Huang Hongqi suffered another mental collapse from torture.
Mr. Huang Hongqi, 37 years old, is from the Huangpo District in Wuhan City, Hubei Province. He was a doctoral candidate at Dalian University of Science and Technology. Police and National Security Division agents arrested him three times and tortured him to the point of a mental collapse in 2003.
When the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) began persecuting Dafa on July 20, 1999, Huang Hongqi was writing his dissertation at Dalian University of Technology. He was arrested for clarifying the facts and was illegally detained at Dalian City Forced Labor Camp in December 1999. Meanwhile, his name was struck from the school's roster.
Mr. Huang was severely abused and persecuted for two and a half years in the forced labor camp. One of his eardrums was ruptured; he had needles inserted into the top of his head and he also suffered from savage force-feeding. He was physically and mentally devastated.
National Security Division agents arrested Huang Hongqi in July 2003 for clarifying the facts and placed him in detention. While there, National Security Brigade persecutors intimidated him and tried to tempt him into becoming a spy, offering him 100 thousand yuan. He firmly refused. After terrible physical torture and mental torment, Huang Hongqi experienced a mental collapse and was released in December 2003. He was then mentally disoriented, emaciated and extremely frightened. He was terrified of police vehicles and police and often suspected that spies were shadowing and monitoring him. He kept the doors and windows of his home locked at all times. This puzzled his family members. He said that someone from the National Security Brigade would come to arrest him.
On January 29, 2006, Mr. Huang Hongqi went south to look for his girlfriend. Around 4:00 p.m. on January 30, a Guangzhou Railway Station policeman arrested him at the railway station and illegally detained him there, located at No. 30 Guangyuanxi Road. While in detention, Mr. Huang's parents went to visit him twice but Chinese Communist Party (CCP) personnel refused their request. In addition, they did not deliver the clothes and necessary items his family brought to Mr. Huang who was still wearing the clothes he wore when he left his home several months before.
On February 14, 2006, Mr. Huang's parents met with Guangzhou City Railway Police Station personnel and CCP agents Na Jingyu and Fan Hongtao. His father asked why his son had been arrested. The reply, "He had the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party with him and there was information about Falun Gong in his notebook." Mr. Huang's parents countered, "Our home is very far away from here, and it is very difficult to come here. Our son has not recovered from the torture-induced mental collapse during detention. We want to know where he is detained and we want to visit him." These people cruelly refused. They did not disclose the location, nor allow them to visit their son.
Several months later, CCP personnel called Mr. Huang's parents to inform them that Mr. Huang Qihong had been sentenced to two years of forced labor and detained at the No. 3 Forced Labor Camp in Chini Town, Guangzhou City. When Mr. Huang's parents asked what their son's verdict document stated to warrant forced labor they replied they had already mailed it to the Huangpi District Police Department. Mr. Huang's father asked a friend later on to help him get the verdict document from the Huangpi District Police Department, but the employees there said that they had not received it.
Huang Hongqi has been detained for more than one year, but his parents so far haven't received any legal documentation. He was recently tortured to the point of a mental collapse again. His parents are suffering a great deal of sorrow.
