Mr. An Jiheng of Lanzhou City Serving, Gansu Province Illegal Four-year Term; His Wife and Child Suffering (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) The local police authorities arrested Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. An Jiheng of Lanzhou City in December 2003 because he communicated with other practitioners. They sentenced him to four years of imprisonment. He is still serving a term at Dashaping Prison in Lanzhou City.

An Jiheng, 35 years old, graduated from the Department of Mechanics, Lanzhou University, and was a design engineer at the Oilfield Machinery Factory.

Police officers from the National Security Bureau of Gansu Province illegally arrested An Jiheng and sent him to the Second Detention Center of Lanzhou City (Hualinshan Detention Center) on December 7, 2003, when he was sharing his cultivation experiences with other practitioners. The Qilihe Court secretly tried Mr. An in June 2004 and sentenced him to four years of imprisonment. They sent him to Dashaping Prison in Lanzhou City.

When Mr. An was arrested, his wife was seven months pregnant. When she went into labor on February 4, 2004, nobody was there to take care of her and the baby. She therefore had to take care of her baby and bear the grief of her husband's arrest alone. In late 2004, the Oilfield Machinery Factory of Lanzhou City fired Mr. An Jiheng, which caused his wife to loose here source of financial support. She and their baby suffered tremendous difficulties every day.

Mr. An previously served a one-year forced labor term in 2000. In early 2000, policemen from the Lanzhou City Police Department arrested practitioners An Jiheng, Dong Huide and Liu Xinghai of the Lanzhou Oilfield Machinery Factory and took them to the Political Security Bureau of the Lanzhou City Police Department. Their "crime" was that the three practitioners were seen walking together. The police interrogated the practitioners one by one for an entire afternoon. In September 2000, a guard from the residential neighborhood of Lanzhou University arrested Mr. An and took him to Dashaping Detention Center when Mr. An went out to distribute truth-clarification materials in that neighborhood. Then the authorities sent him to Ping'antai Forced Labor Camp in Gansu Province to serve a one-year term.

Mr. An has been imprisoned in Lanzhou City since 2004.
