My Husband Survived Cancer Against All Odds by Reciting "Falun Dafa is Good"

(Clearwisdom.net) I started practicing Falun Gong before the persecution began on July 20, 1999, however I was not diligent in cultivation because I could not read. I practiced the exercises but never read any Dafa books or any Dafa materials. But I knew that the exercises were very good and that Teacher was good, so I brought a set of pictures of Teacher and a Falun emblem to my home without letting my family members know. It is true that once one starts practicing the exercises, the entire family benefits from it. At the time, everything was going quite well for my family.

After the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) started persecuting Falun Gong, I stopped practicing out of fear. Not long after that, unfortunate things happened in my family. Two years later, my husband, a retiree from a fertilizer factory, developed serious esophageal cancer. He went to the hospital and had extensive surgery. However, after the surgery he still could not swallow properly. He grew weaker and weaker and became like a skeleton wrapped in skin.

Before our debt was repaid, new sicknesses came. My husband started coughing and exhibited asthma-like symptoms. We consulted with many hospitals and clinics, and family members were worried and anxious. The situation continued to get worse. On October 8, 2006, my husband went for an examination at the city hospital. To his misfortune, not only was his esophageal cancer not cured but, he was also diagnosed with lung cancer. The entire family pleaded with the doctor to do a more detailed examination which would include ultrasound, CT, X-rays, etc. The result of all the testing was stage III cancer. The doctor asked the family to take my husband home and prepare for his funeral. The entire family pleaded and pleaded, but the doctor would not give any prescriptions. The following day, we went to the county hospital for a second opinion and the doctor repeated all the tests and examinations again. The diagnosis was the same as the one given by the city hospital. This doctor did not provide any prescriptions either, and just told us to go home and make preparations.

After some discussion among the family members, we decided that we could not just wait for my husband to die. We took him to the village clinic, where he received IV medications for about 12 days. His condition deteriorated. We then took him to yet another clinic for ten more days of IV medication. There was no improvement. We then gave up all treatment. Several days passed with my husband not eating or drinking.

Just when my husband was about to die, I went to a senior fellow practitioner's home in another village, and I talked to her about my husband's condition. The practitioner gave me an amulet (1) with information about the truth of Falun Dafa. She told me to have my husband wear the charm and teach him to recite sincerely, "Falun Dafa is good," and "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance are good."

My husband learned these phrases and recited them day and night. After a few days, a miracle occurred. On the night of November 10, 2006, he suddenly wanted to eat. At the time, no one was around. Somehow he managed to cook a bowl of noodles and gobbled it down. The entire family was surprised to learn about this. Since that day, my husband has continued to eat. Any time, day or night, he ate whenever he felt hungry. He would have four or five meals every day, and always seemed to be hungry. Family members were so happy to see that he could eat so much, and that all the heavy breathing and coughing were gone. We knew that his cancer was cured and that it was Falun Dafa that saved his life. The benevolent Master Li pulled him back from the brink of death and gave him a second chance.

My whole family knelt down in front of Teacher's photo. Since that time, my entire family has strong belief in Teacher and in Dafa. We obtained two copies of "Zhuan Falun" and the entire family started cultivation. The health condition of my husband has changed greatly! He is now able to give me a ride to the market on his electric bike. He can ride the electric bike all the way to town! Our story has spread far and wide throughout nearby towns and villages.
