CIPFG Japan Branch Demands CCP to Release Falun Gong Practitioners
(Clearwisdom.net) On June 15, 2007, Japanese Newspaper Sankei Shimbun
carried a report from Jiji Press on June 14. The report stated that the "Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of
Falun Gong in China" (CIPFG) Japan Branch held a press conference on June
14 in Tokyo and released an open letter to Chinese leaders Hu Jintao and Wen
Jiabao. The letter demands that CCP release all Falun Gong practitioners being
imprisoned before the Olympic Games are held in Beijing next year. CIPFG is composed of 301 politicians from Europe, America and Asia, who are
not Falun Gong practitioners. The open letter stressed that safeguarding human
rights is a mission of the Olympics. If it does not stop the persecution of
Falun Gong, China is not qualified to host the Olympic Games. If the Chinese
Communist regime does not respond before August 8 of this year, a "Global
Human Rights Torch Relay" across dozens of countries in Europe and Asia
will be held in protest.
