By a practitioner in Peru

(Clearwisdom.net) Since the exposure of the CCP's atrocity of harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners in March 2006, practitioners in Peru have continued to distribute flyers and literature informing people about the outrage.

Falun Gong practitioners explain the facts and spread the Nine Commentaries at tourist attractions in Lima, catching the attention of tourists.

Practitioners have set up two weekly truth-clarification sites in the Chinese community. Peruvian people have come to know the evil nature of the CCP from the posters exposing the persecution. Seeing practitioners' peaceful demonstration of the exercises, people are shocked that such a graceful practice is brutally persecuted in China. After asking for more information, people sign the petition to support Falun Gong.

Chinatown on Capon Street in Lima is a tourist attraction and also a place that the CCP tries to control. In 2001, Falun Gong practitioners distributing flyers were driven away by security guards. Practitioners persist in their effort of truth-clarification there. The Chinese Embassy requested that a pro-CCP Chinese organization have a meeting to deal with Falun Gong. The organization claimed that those who support and are sympathetic towards Falun Gong would be persecuted, making local Chinese people be afraid of Falun Gong activities.

At the beginning of 2007, the Lima City Government approved Falun Dafa Association's application for a permit to hold weekly activities. The practitioners' truth-clarification activities have become a tourist attraction since then. Some CCP followers in the Chinese Embassy and Lima Chinatown attempted to interfere with and undermine the practitioners' activity. At the beginning of this year, the local TV news reported that two Chinese people fought and one was killed by gunshot. The next day, in the two rebroadcasts, someone with ulterior motives put a Falun Gong introduction flyer on the car of the Chinese shooter. The attempt to mislead viewers and slander Falun Gong was condemned by people in all circles. It also aroused people's interest and curiosity towards Falun Gong.

The officer in the Lima City Government who issued the practitioners' activity permit invited and arranged for Falun Gong practitioners to introduce and teach Falun Gong to the government staff. Later, the mayor of the city of Jesus Maria met with Falun Gong practitioners and accepted truth-clarification literature and a copy of the "Nine Commentaries on Communist Party" in Spanish. The mayor said a poster board would be set up in front of the park where practitioners have group practice to let people know their exact location in the park. The head of the Peru Air Force Sanatorium invited practitioners to introduce Falun Gong and arranged many times for the practitioners to teach the exercises there.

In Chinatown, Falun Gong practitioners spread the news of twenty million Chinese having quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations, which caught the attention of the Chinese people. Since January 1, the practitioners have persisted in explaining the facts and spreading the Nine Commentaries in Chinatown. Chinese people stopped to look at the posters initially and nowadays actively request truth-clarification information. Practitioners' peaceful and kind actions and the true photos impressed and touched them.

Once a Chinese person did not accept any literature but looked at the posters attentively. When he read, "The CCP controls the media and publicizes propaganda. One can say that 1.3 billion Chinese people are being held hostage by the CCP. The CCP can persecute anyone at any time or place," tears ran down his face as he nodded his head and said, "Yes, it is true!" Later, a practitioner saw he that brought his acquaintances to see the posters and ask for literature several times. Many Chinese people looked at practitioners with admiration when accepting truth-clarification literature. Some came forward to shake hands with practitioners and expressed their hopes that practitioners would keep going by all means.

When the Chinese fleet arrived in Peru, more than one hundred crew members were shocked at seeing the truth-clarification poster boards and practitioners distributing flyers in Chinatown. They returned to China with information on the tide of withdrawals and how over twenty million Chinese people have already quit the CCP.
