Piestany, Slovakia: Introducing Falun Gong and Exposing the Persecution in China (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On Saturday June 23, Falun Gong practitioners visited Piestany, a middle-sized spa city in western Slovakia, in order to introduce Falun Gong and raise awareness about the persecution in China. On unfolded information posters the passers-by could see and read stories of people who were persecuted or even tortured to death by the communist regime in China because they practiced Falun Gong. After seeing the scenes from the persecution, many people came up to the petition and signed it. On Saturday morning more then a hundred signatures were collected.

Quite a few people were interested in the exercises and admired the peace of the practitioners, who were not disturbed by the sounds from the surrounding area. Some people showed interest in learning the exercises. A number of young children tried the exercises right away.

One of the ways people showed support and expressed respect for the persecution victims was to draw silhouettes on the pavement. These silhouettes attracted the attention of passers-by, who were reminded about the crimes of the communist regime against Falun Gong practitioners in China.
