Officials in Wanjia Forced Labor Camp Send Falun Dafa Practitioners to Qianjin Forced Labor Camp for Further Persecution

(Clearwisdom.net) On May 29, 2007, the former female brigade, Brigade 13, of the Wanjia Forced Labor Camp, as well as Brigade 12, moved to the Qianjin Forced Labor Camp. All Falun Gong practitioners in these brigades were transferred to this labor camp. The former Brigade 13 and Brigade 7 merged and became the new Brigade 1. The former Brigade 12 was converted to the new Brigade 2.

Currently, people in the new Brigade 1 and 2 are performing heavy workloads of laying pathway bricks. The work starts at 5:00 a.m. every day and continues until 8:00 p.m. without any scheduled breaks. Only when the temperature gets very high will a short break possibly be given.

The workload is extremely heavy. Each brick weighs about 10 pounds. Falun Gong practitioners are forced to lift up, put down, carry, and lay the bricks. Most of the practitioners are in their 50s or older. Officials use this kind of forced labor to persecute and torture practitioners. As this persecution continued, many developed heart problems and high blood pressure. Such a heavy workload and forced labor is inhuman.

Practitioners Jiang Lihua, Yan Tingzhen, and Zhang Shuqin's terms in the forced labor camp were extended, and thus their suffering continues.

Jiang Lihua's sentence was supposed to end on May 6, 2007. However, because she refused to recite the "3 rules" and tried to do some exercises, they hung her up and shocked her with electric batons six times. She was also forced to sit on an iron chair without a coat in cold temperatures for more than ten days. They held her an additional 67 days and then transferred her to the Qianjin Forced Labor Camp where her illegal detention is continuing.

Yan Tingzhen refused to recite the "3 rules." Therefore, they forced her to sit on an iron chair for 40 days. She was also hung up and shocked with electric batons. Her sentence was supposed to end on June 29, 2007, but it has been extended for another 60 days until August 29, 2007. She is currently detained at the Qianjin Forced Labor Camp.

Because Zhang Shuqin refused to recite the "3 rules," they forced her to sit on an iron chair for 34 days. She was hung up and shocked with electric batons. Her sentence has been extended for another 60 days, thus her suffering continues. She is currently detained at the Qianjin Forced Labor Camp.
