Persecution Cases in Chibi City, Hubei Province


(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Lei Shengping, 48 years old, is a practitioner from Chibi City, Hubei Province. At around 4 p.m. on June 9, 2007, police from the Huangpu Police Station in Shanghai arrested Ms. Lei when she was clarifying the truth to people on the beach. The officers asked police from Chibi City to come and escort Ms. Lei back to her hometown. However, police from Chibi City refused to do so due to the cost. Finally, on June 29, 2007, Ma Sihai (male, in his 40's), the leader of the State Security Division of the Chibi City Police Department, went to Shanghai with several police officers. They escorted Ms. Lei back to Chibi City. Ms. Lei's current situation is unknown.

Ms. Lu Xiaohua, 53 years old, is a practitioner from Chibi City, Hubei Province. Ms. Lu left home to avoid persecution and has been moving from place to place since 2003. At around 9 a.m. on June 11, 2007, she was arrested when she and her daughter were talking outside the Dazhong Restaurant in Chibi City. Ms. Lu is currently being detained in the Chibi City Detention Center.

Ms. Liu Xiaolian, 69 years old, is a practitioner from Chibi City, Hubei Province. On April 26, 2006, Chibi City government officials ordered officers from the Chibi City Police Station to arrest Ms. Liu. Ms. Liu was sent to the Pufang Psychiatric Hospital after her arrest and has been brutally persecuted to this day.

In the psychiatric hospital, Ms. Liu suffered all kinds of torture, including severe beatings, injections of unknown drugs, high-voltage electric shocks, and being force-fed unknown pills. Shortly after her detention began, Ms. Liu lost her ability to speak. Doctors Zhang, Lu, Han and Li (given names unknown) in the psychiatric hospital were the main perpetrators.

On May 14, 2007, Ms. Liu started a hunger strike. Her current situation is unknown.
