(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Dafa spread to Taiwan in 1995. There are now tens
of thousands of Taiwanese from different social classes practicing Falun Dafa,
including university professors, doctors, lawyers, judges, engineers, government
officials, military soldiers, policemen, students, businessmen and housewives.
There are exercise sites in every town, with a total of more than 1000 exercise
sites throughout Taiwan. China Times reports that this Falun Gong exercise site was
established in a government department Falun Gong workshop in Yunlin County Ten thousand Falun Gong practitioners demonstrate the
exercises in front of the Presidential Building Since the Chinese Communist Party and Jiang Zemin's gang launched the
persecution of Falun Gong on July 20, 1999, Falun Gong practitioners in Taiwan
have held many types of activities to clarify the facts, including
all kinds of parades, rallies, press conferences, and performances.
Practitioners have clarified the facts to government officials, filed lawsuits
against the murderers, called Chinese people, mailed materials to China, and so
on. Due to the practitioners' efforts, more and more people have learned the
truth about Falun Gong and the persecution. This article will briefly review Taiwanese practitioners' eight-year long
anti-persecution efforts on the following topics: In September 2001, Taiwanese Falun Gong practitioners started the SOS Walk in
Taiwan to rescue the fellow practitioners jailed in China. Two groups started
from Taipei and Yilan, and ended in Kaohsiung two weeks later. In 2003 and 2004,
practitioners held two SOS Bicycle Tours to raise awareness of the persecution. SOS Walk The SOS Walk in Yilan County, October 2001 Bicycle Tour in 2003, Taitung Youth Bicycle Tour in August, 2004 Candlelight vigil in Taipei, December 2000 Candlelight vigil in July 2006, with 5000 practitioners
