A Police Station Director Awakens to the Truth

(Clearwisdom.net) A township police station director in Northeast China called A'shan (surname unknown) participated in the persecution of Falun Gong. However, one day in June or July of 2003, someone reported that 15 practitioners were meeting. He arrested the practitioners, but turned around on the way to the police station and instead treated them to lunch in a restaurant, and then released them all.

Later his bosses asked him, "Why didn't you bring in those practitioners?" He answered, "Why bother arresting folks who are just doing exercises? It's the middle of the growing season and they need to tend their fields. Why should we bother to arrest them?" Some local people said to him, "You are too brave. No one else would ever release them." A'shan said, "Falun Gong's Master saved my life twice, how can I arrest them? Bottom line, there is nothing wrong with Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, and they are all good people."

This is what happened:

One day, Ashan was leading two other officers to arrest Falun Dafa practitioners in a village located on the other side of the river. They drove directly across the river. Their jeep got stuck in a hole in the river as they drove across it. Water quickly filled the vehicle, but they could not open the doors. A'shan shouted at that moment, "Falun Dafa is good! Master of Falun Gong, please save us!" The second he finished shouting, the doors opened with a click. A'shan quickly got out and pulled the other two officers out. He pumped the water from their lungs and saved their lives. They knelt on the ground and thanked the Master of Falun Dafa for saving their lives.

Two to three weeks after, another report of Falun Gong practitioners doing the exercises came. A'shan thought, "I would never arrest them, but I need to tell them to escape as soon as possible." He quickly rode a motorcycle to the place. Suddenly, a cement electric pole fell across the road. His motorcycle went flying, even though he quickly put on the brakes. A'shan was flung off his motorcycle very far, and he passed out. After he regained consciousness, he was not injured anywhere; his skin was not even scratched. He realized that Falun Gong's Master had saved his life again.

A'shan still carefully keeps all the Falun Dafa books, Falun badges, the Nine Commentaries, and other things that he was forced to confiscate in the past. Now, new practitioners can request these from him anytime they need them.
