U.S. Congresswoman Susan Davis Sends Congratulations on Falun Dafa Week


(Clearwisdom.net) Up to July 20, 2007, the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners has been conducted by the Chinese Communist Party for eight years. San Diego Falun Gong practitioners proclaimed the week of July 22-28 as "San Diego Falun Dafa Week", and will host a series of activities to introduce Falun Dafa to the public and expose the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China. U.S. Congresswoman Susan Davis wrote a congratulatory letter. She commended the Falun Dafa practitioners for their commitment to peaceful resistance against the persecution. Below is the text of the letter.

Dear Friends:

I am honored to have this opportunity to greet you as the Falun Dafa of San Diego come together for their week of celebration and education. I regret that I cannot be in San Diego and will not be able to enjoy this very special event.

I commend the Falun Dafa for its commitment to peaceful resistance against persecution. As a member of Congress, I am committed to protecting the right of religious freedom. Please know that your efforts are making a difference and are appreciated by the community.

I extend my best wishes to you. I hope you have an enjoyable week and many continued successes in the year ahead.
