On the evening of June 30, 2007, practitioners Ms. Zhong Xiaolan, Ms. Zhong Landong, and Mr. Shi Weixian were either followed or reported when they were on their way to Wudong Town in Wuping County to clarify the truth. All three were arrested. Ms. Zhong Donglan and Ms. Zhong Xiaolan are still in detention. They are likely facing illegal trials and sentencing.

Mr. Shi Weixian's home was searched after his arrest. Two computers, two printers, and a motorcycle were confiscated. The police extorted 20,000 yuan from his family before he was released.

On June 5, 2007, Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Wang Juxiang was arrested and taken to the Wuping County Detention Center. She was released after police extorted 3,000 yuan from her family.

There are very few Falun Dafa practitioners in Wuping County. Nevertheless, since July 20, 1999, five practitioners have been unlawfully sentenced. They are Ms. Zhong Donlan (sentenced to three years), her brother Mr. Zhong Wensheng (sentenced to one year and then later for five years), Mr. Zheng Xinghui (three years), Mr. Zhou Chaoyuan (three years), and Ms. Wang Juxiang (three years).

Members of the National Security Team of Wuping County include team leader Zeng Xingfang, deputy leader Fang Guangfu, Lin Danmei, Lin Richang, and Wen Qinghua. Among them, Zeng Xingfang, Fang Guangfu, and Lin Danmei are the most aggressive in carrying out the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners.
