(Clearwisdom.net) On July 4, 2007, Falun Dafa practitioners participated in the Independence Day parade in Hillsboro, Oregon. The practitioners' exercise demonstrations and dance performances were very welcomed.

The parade started at 10:30 a.m. Though it was hot, the practitioners were in high spirits. Unique in the parade, practitioners dressed as heavenly maidens performed gracefully with kind smiles and beautiful costumes and demeanor. Other practitioners demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises. Audience members on both sides of the street attentively watched the group, which is being brutally persecuted in China, and some noted that practitioners do not exhibit any depression or hatred, but instead gracefully validate Falun Dafa.

Wherever the practitioners' procession went, people were excited and applauded warmly. Some greeted practitioners with both hands pressed in front of their chest, some walked in the procession and shook hands with the practitioners. Since many people asked for flyers, the practitioners distributing the flyers could not walk fast enough to catch up with the procession, and ending up walking along with the float behind that distributed candy. However, many people did not want the candy but asked for the flyers with their hands extended. Some walked towards the practitioner and specifically asked, "Can I have a copy?"Many spectators exclaimed that the procession was "Wonderful!"
