Improving As a Whole and Saving Sentient Beings on a Large Scale

(Clearwisdom.net) In 2002, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) persecuted Dafa practitioners on a large scale in our county. Many practitioners' families were broken up because of the persecution. Family members who did not understand the truth accused practitioners of bringing trouble to their families because of practicing Dafa. Those who understood the truth were too scared to say anything and only wept. The practitioners who had not been persecuted stopped spreading Falun Dafa and stopped coming to group study or clarifying the truth to people. It was very difficult to have any truth clarification materials and we wouldn't have had any if practitioners in other areas did not bring us some, despite the danger of being persecuted by the evil party.

The severe persecution stopped many people from continuing to practice Dafa. Practitioners were even afraid of chatting when they bumped into each other, not to mention keeping in touch. Some refused to read truth clarification materials. Others, knowing that Dafa is good, would continue practicing at home, daring not to let anybody else know of their practicing, and they would not communicate with fellow practitioners. Thus, those practitioners did not know that Dafa cultivation had entered the Fa-rectification period after July 20, 1999, when the CCP started the persecution. Due to the above reasons, the Fa-rectification could not be fulfilled in our county on a large scale. Many practitioners did not step out to expose the evil persecution carried out by the CCP.

Facing such a situation, some practitioners in our area came up with the following ideas when studying the Fa and sharing together. They understood that improving the study group and sharing experiences was an excellent way to assist fellow practitioners in getting rid of the heart of fear and coming out to clarify the truth. Also, establishing a site to produce truth clarification materials would be a large help with saving sentient beings.

We wanted to establish a materials production site to produce truth clarification materials to let other practitioners and sentient beings know that the CCP was persecuting Dafa and poisoning people with defaming lies, such as the staged self-immolation on Tiananmen Square. Without materials, however, it was very difficult to save sentient beings who had been poisoned by the CCP's lies.

In order to efficiently expose the evil, stop the persecution, and save sentient beings, establishing a materials site became the key. However, where could we get the money to do that? A female practitioner who had just lost her husband and was living with her son donated 2,600 yuan. That was the only money we had to start the site. With Teacher's guidance and help, some practitioners donated more money, others provided manpower and time, and we collaborated in purchasing a printer and learned how to make materials from a practitioner in another city. Soon we mastered the process of printing and producing materials.

During the years of making materials, the machine would sometimes have problems. We tried to fix the minor problems, but had to turn to the professionals once in a while for major repairs. The practitioners who were in charge of using the printer would also teach themselves during the process. Other practitioners would support the material site financially and some saved a few yuan from their very limited living allowance to buy printing supplies. Others, who were doing better financially, would give hundreds, thousands, or even over ten thousand yuan to the material site. Last year, we purchased a computer for the site so that we could download truth clarification materials from the websites promptly and practitioners could receive timely materials several days sooner. Because fellow practitioners from another city did not have to bring materials to our area any more, they saved their time, and we could receive and read truth clarification materials sooner.

In spite of the CCP's strict control over various levels of society in recent years, we did not forget that we are Dafa practitioners during the Fa-rectification period who are trying to do the three things well. No matter how busy we are, we keep studying the Fa and sending forth righteous thoughts four times a day. Sometimes we are too busy to go to bed until two or three in the morning, but we still get up at six a.m. sharp to send forth righteous thoughts. In addition, we carry out our daily duties at home and work very well and try to maintain a balance with other aspects of our lives. In particular, we pay close attention to eliminating unrighteous factors and interferences in ourselves, our families, or in the society that we have contact with, so that the evil will not find any loopholes.

There are many things we do when clarifying the truth and talking about the withdrawals from the CCP's organizations. Since the release of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, we talk to our friends and acquaintances face-to-face about the truth and the withdrawals. We also visit our relatives at their homes and sometimes we would bring little presents to smooth the relationships. Even for those that we don't have any connections with, we look for opportunities to clarify the truth and soften their hearts with a cultivator's compassion. One practitioner kept talking to people about the withdrawals on the way to see her relatives and once eight to ten people expressed that they wanted to withdraw from CCP's organizations after understanding the truth. The practitioner left a truth clarification card for each of them. Grateful of being saved, people thanked practitioners whole-heartedly. Practitioners said: "It was all for your benefit, and that's what I should do, so please give the credit to our Teacher." Some people would not listen to the truth the first time, second time, or the third time, but practitioners didn't give up until people understood the truth and withdrew from the CCP's organizations. Practitioners work hard for one sole purpose: to expose the evil and save sentient beings. According to our calculations, 1,500 people withdrew from the CCP's organizations in only one season, and over 90% of the people in some villages withdrew from the CCP's organizations.

An elderly couple who were practitioners were scared by the severe persecution that began in July 20, 1999, and they turned in all of their Dafa books to the persecutors and stopped practicing. Thus, their bodies returned to the state of an ordinary person. A fellow practitioner visited them in 2003 and saw that the top of their cabinet was full of medicine bottles. Later, the practitioner visited the couple two more times and helped them break through the CCP's lies about Dafa, improve on their cultivation paths, and catch up with the Fa-rectification speed. Otherwise, they would have never got back what they might have lost. Afterwards, the couple understood the difference between personal cultivation and cultivation in the Fa-rectification period, and they understood that it is a practitioner's goal to save sentient beings by validating the Fa instead of reaching personal consummation. They returned to the cultivation path and have been doing the three things well ever since. Now their bodies have become healthy again and they carry out work in the field all by themselves, even rejecting their children's offers of help. Several fellow practitioners living close to them have been influenced and joined them in studying the Fa, practicing the exercises, and clarifying the truth to people.

Another practitioner had been very diligent in cultivation before July 20, 1999 and she introduced Dafa to her entire family, including her sisters and parents. However, she didn't even dare to talk to fellow practitioners on the streets after the persecution began. One fellow practitioner visited her and talked with her about the goal of a practitioner in the Fa-rectification period and the duty of saving sentient beings. She enlightened and said: I was diligent before, what happened to me now? She then started going out to clarify the truth. She introduced Zhuan Falun to her neighbor whose health was poor. She couldn't do the daily house work, and was said to be dying soon. However, the neighbor read the Dafa book and believes in Dafa. Now, not only has she not passed away, but her health is getting better and she can work in the field. Upon understanding the truth about Falun Gong and the CCP, she withdrew from the CCP's organizations immediately. I hope that fellow practitioners all over the country and the world become more diligent, collaborate better as one body, and save more sentient beings.
