After Years of Persecution, Wife Dies and Husband is Again Detained

(Clearwisdom.net) Zhang Aijun and his wife Wang Guiying are both Dafa practitioners from Taibao village, Mengyin Township, Menyin County, Shandong Province. Since they firmly believe in Dafa and refused to be "transformed", Zhang Aiyun and his wife Wang Guiying were repeatedly arrested and detained. Wang Guiying died in September 2006 as a result of the persecution. Their teenage child is left without family to care for him.

At around one o'clock on July 22, 2007, the couple were reported by Ma Shunhe, former Party secretary of Nanrongfu village, while they were staying in Nanrongfu village, Duozhuang Township. Local police arrested them. Later the police station and the 610 Office wanted to ransack Zhang's home, but were stopped by their son. Zhang Aijun is now detained in a brainwashing facility established by the "610 Office" in Mengyin County.

Zhang Aijun and his wife were detained and beaten several times in recent years. In 2001, they were sent to a forced labor camp for one year. They were injured both physically and mentally. Zhang Aijun's wife, Wang Guiying, passed away on September 29, 2006.

Zhang Aijun and His Wife Both Suffered Brutal Persecution in Brainwashing Center

On February 22, 2000, Mengyin Township authorities notified 24 Falun Gong practitioners who had gone to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong to attend a meeting at a local Party office. Zhang Aijun and his wife Wang Guiying were forced to attend the brainwashing center organized by the county government.

Practitioners were required to attend brainwashing sessions every morning from eight o'clock until noon. This brainwashing "class" lasted for over two months. It was spring planting season, so Zhang Aijun and his wife, Wang Guiying had little time to tend their fields.

When the authorities saw that they were not attaining their goal of "transforming" practitioners, they began to require them to stay in the brainwashing "class" all day and to intensify their evil methods. Wang Guiying was beaten with steel cables and scolded. Finally, they extorted over two thousand yuan from her and then released her.

On April 20, Mengyin Township authorities took Zhang Aijun and other Dafa practitioners to Chapeng and locked them up. They began to control the practitioners in a contained environment and would not allow them to go home. In Chapeng, Zhang Aijun and other practitioners suffered various tortures such as staying outside under the baking sun, sitting on the cement floor while holding their toes, hands bending backward 90 degrees, extended standing and brutal beatings.

Once, guard Wang Xin took a wooden stick and beat Zhang Aijun, Sun Peijin, Liu Zhaoliang, and Yu Zaihua five or six times. After the beating, they had bruises on their bottoms. Wang Xin's arms hurt even though he had a cloth wrapped around the wooden stick. He was curious and asked the practitioners, "My arms hurt due to the shaking. How can you still not be "transformed"?" Practitioners kindly told Wang Xin, "You beat us and committed an evil deed. The pain you suffer is retribution for what you have done. That's why your arms hurt." Wang Xin was shocked and said, "I will not beat you in the future.

Gong Peibao, secretary of Mengyin Township Political and Law Committee said, "Write a letter saying that you give up your practice. We're not asking you to pay money. Then, we will let you go home." Zhang Aijun and other Dafa practitioners said all together, "We only want to be good people. We ask you to release us unconditionally."

Wang Shixin (from Mengyin Township CCP) and Gong Peibao, secretary of the Political and Law Committee, planned for eighteen or nineteen hooligans to come and take turns beating the practitioners. Several wanted to push Zhang Aijun down to the floor, but their efforts were in vain.

On July 2, Zhang Aijun was detained at the "610 Office" in the Professional College in Mengyin County. There he was brutally beaten several times.

Sent to a Forced Labor Camp for Three Years for Going to Beijing to Appeal

On January 6, 2001, Zhang Aijun and Yu Zaihua went to Beijing to validate Dafa. They opened their "Falun Dafa is good" banner on Tiananmen Square. They were immediately arrested. Zhang Aijun and Yu Zaihua were detained at the detention center in Tiananmen Square. The police beat Zhang Aijun with a rubber stick and his face was swollen after the beating. On January 11, Sun Peiquan, secretary of Dongrulai village, Mengyin Township, and an officer surnamed Jiang from Mengyin Township escorted Zhang Aijun and Yu Zaihua back to Mengyin County and detained them in No. 2 police district.

On January 12, Zhang Aijun and Yu Zaihua were sent to Mengyin County detention center. In 2001, Zhang Aijun spent New Year's day in Mengyin County detention center. After being detained at Mengyin County detention center for 28 days, Zhang Aijun was sent to a forced labor camp for three years. He was detained at Wang Village Forced Labor Camp, Zhou Village district, Zibo City, Shandong province. His wife, Wang Guiying went to Beijing to appeal in 2000 and arrested and returned to Mengyin detention center. In early 2001, she was sent to the county "610 Office" and detained there. She was subjected to cold wind, was not allowed to sleep and had limited meals. They beat her up and scolded her. They extorted over eight thousand yuan from her relatives. She was greatly injured both mentally and physically.

Living in constant fear of persecution, under great stress, Wang Guiying passed away on September 29, 2006. Her husband was arrested again soon after, leaving their teenage son alone.
