U.K.: Practitioners Hold a Parade in Edinburgh to Support the 24 Million Chinese Who Quit the CCP (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On August 4, 2007, the day before attending a grand parade marking the Edinburgh International Festival, the European Divine Land Marching Band held a parade to support the 24 million Chinese people who quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). The band is composed of about 110 Falun Gong practitioners from the U.K and other European countries. In the meantime, practitioners also held other activities at tourist attractions in Edinburgh to introduce Falun Gong to the public and expose the facts about the persecution of Falun Gong.

Along Edinburgh's famous Prince Street, the procession spanned several kilometers. With the International Festival about to begin, Edinburgh's downtown area was crowded with a lot of tourists from various places around the world. Along the route of the procession, people were amazed by the wonderful performance of the Divine Land Marching Band. The Band played "Falun Dafa is Good", "Drums and Trumpets Shake the World in Ten Directions" and "Song of Joy" along the parade route.

The Band was followed by a group of practitioners holding bilingual banners reading "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance", "Falun Dafa Benefits One Hundred Million People," "Stop the Persecution of Falun Gong," "Supporting 24 Million Chinese Quitting the CCP," and "Heaven is Eliminating the CCP." The waist-drum team brought up the rear the procession.

The parade earned spectators' enthusiastic response. Some clapped their hands, others took photos of the historic event, still others asked for flyers.

While the parade was proceeding down the street, practitioners also held other activities to introduce Falun Gong and explain the facts about the persecution to the general public. Besides the demonstration of the peaceful exercises, they also distributed flyers to expose CCP's cruel atrocities of persecuting Falun Gong in China. The Falun Gong exercises attracted a lot of attention. Many passersby asked for information about the exercises and the practice sites. Many of them cheerfully expressed that they would like to attend the free workshops.

More and more Chinese people awakened though they had long been deceived by the Chinese Communist regime's evil slanderous propaganda. They started to think and search for the truth of behind persecution. A Chinese girl had a long talk with a practitioner and asked many questions regarding Falun Gong. When told that the truth-clarification activities would continue the following day, she said that she would come back to learn more.
