Practitioners Tortured in Suining County Detention Center
(Clearwisdom.net) The Suining County Detention Center in Xuzhou City,
Jiangsu Province, has been persecuting Falun Gong practitioners for eight years.
Mr. Wang Xingfei, Mr. Ni Peng, and Mr. Tong Dejun are still detained there.
These practitioners, who follow the principle of
Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, are treated even worse than criminals who
have committed all sorts of atrocities. They are monitored and controlled by
prisoners, forced to do drills and labor, and they must report their thoughts
and recite the prison regulations. They have been severely humiliated, and their
dignity has been impugned. Moreover, guards Zhang Mingyu (male), Gao Fangliang (male), and Tong Defang
(male) have escalated the persecution by applying a torture method called
"holding shackles." They handcuffed the practitioners' hands, pounded
shackles onto their feet, passed the handcuffs through the shackles, and linked
the left shackles and right shackles with chain less than 50 cm. (20 inches)
long. This way, practitioners cannot stand up and walk normally. Their backs are
bent 90 degrees. They cannot sit, sleep, eat, or use the restroom by themselves.
They can only move a tiny step at a time, with extreme pain. After threatening
to beat practitioners with a rubber baton, guard Zhang Mingyu forced them to
jump while wearing the "holding shackles" that weighed around nine
pounds. Furthermore, some practitioners were restrained to a chair while in the
"holding shackles" for as long as 18 days, and they were not able to
sleep. During this period, the guards hit practitioners' fingers and toes with a
stick containing nails until they were covered with blood. Practitioners devastated with the "holding shackles" torture
included Mr. Xu Xingrong, Mr. Ma Jie, Ms. Teng Xiaohong, Ms. Song Yushu, Ms.
Wang Meidi, Ms. Peng Zengmei, Mr. Wei Dong, Ms. Guo Juanling, Ms. Yang Dalan,
and Ms. Wu Di. Suining County Detention Center: 86-516-88300494 August 10, 2007
