Persecution of Falun Dafa Practitioners in Binchuan County, Dali City, Yunnan Province
(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Zhao Yingxian, 50, is from Binchuan County, Dali
City, Yunnan Province. On May 30, 2007, she was reported while distributing
truth-clarification materials in Yanggong Village, Binchuan County.
She was arrested by the police from the Jinniu Police Station, Binchuan County,
and sent to a detention center in Binchuan County, where she has been detained
for over two and a half months. In the detention center, Ms. Zhao remained steadfast in her belief in Dafa.
She kept doing the exercises and clarified the truth to the guards, but the
guards slapped her in the face for doing so. The detention center made her
family member pay 5,000 yuan for her release, and tried to force her
to put her fingerprints on a falsified guarantee statement. However,
she steadfastly refused to cooperate. She was detained for three months and then
sentenced to a forced labor camp. Ms. Yao Zhifen, 73, is from Niujingsan Village, Binchuan County, Dali City,
Yunnan Province. On May 28, 2007, when she was clarifying the truth in Yanggong
Village, Binchuan County, she was reported to the police by villagers who did
not know the truth about Falun Dafa. The police broke into her home and
confiscated three cassette recorders, one MP3 player, and all of her
truth-clarification materials. Ms. Yao was arrested and sent to the Binchuan
County Detention Center by several police officers from the Jinniu Police
Station of Binchuan County. On July 4, 2007, she was released after the police
fined her 5,000 yuan. Ms. Shan Yongxian, in her forties, is a resident of Pingchuan Street,
Binchuan County, Dali City, Yunnan Province. On May 30, 2007, several police
officers illegally broke into her home and took a cassette recorder and some
truth-clarification materials. Three police officers then forced her into a
police car, at which time she shouted "Falun Dafa is great!" and
"Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance are great!" The police tried to
stop her shouting and slapped her in the face. They then picked up some dirty
plastic wrap from the roadside, pried open her mouth, and forcibly stuffed the
plastic wrap into her mouth. Her jaw was broken in the process. Ms. Shan was
detained for 29 days. On June 27, 2007, she was released after the police fined
her 5,000 yuan. Ms. Zhang Guixin, who is in her forties, is a resident of Pingchuan Street,
Binchuan County, Dali City, Yunnan Province. On May 28, 2007, several police
officers illegally broke into her home and took two cassette recorders and some
truth-clarification materials. She was forced to leave home and live on the
streets to avoid further persecution, leaving her two children unattended. August 18, 2007
