Practitioners Brutally Beaten and Left Without Clothes Under the Burning Summer Sun at Daqing City Prison

(Clearwisdom.net) On August 23, 2007, the guards in the Daqing City Prison in Heilongjiang Province badly mistreated detained Falun Dafa practitioners.

That morning, led by the Prison CCP Political Office Deputy Chair Li Weinan (male) and CCP Secretary Chen Qingfa (male), the guards from the entire prison rounded up all non-practitioner inmates and assembled them on the marching ground. They then brutally beat the Falun Dafa practitioners left behind in the cells before dragging them to the marching ground. With more than one thousand prisoners assembled, five or six guards beat a male practitioner with a rubber baton and shocked him with electric batons. They stripped him, burned his clothes, and beat him until he could not move. He was left without any clothes on under the burning sun for hours. Li Weinan was personally involved.

More than ten practitioners were beaten until they could not move and were left lying on the ground. Their bodies were injured and bleeding in many places. Particulars of the injuries are still unknown.

On August 14, 2007, Prison Director Wang Yongxiang (male) began going to the Small Cell (1) to beat and torture practitioner Mr. Li Ronghong every day with the Big Hang Up (2). On August 15, 2007, Li Weinan led more than a dozen guards to beat another male practitioner (name unknown) to the point of injury, then locked him in the Small Cell.

At 9 a.m., on August 4, 2007, guards forced all prisoners and detained Falun Dafa practitioners to the marching ground. The Political Office Chair Li Weilong (male) and Li Weinan directed guards to beat practitioners Mr. Zhou (first name unknown) and Mr. Jiang Nianyang. They put prison uniforms on them against their will. They (especially the Fifth Ward Deputy Leader Zou Qingyu, male) beat practitioners Mr. Dai Zhidong and Mr. Wang Shusen (both detained in the Fifth Ward). Lastly, the guards beat practitioners Mr. Zhang Jingqi and Mr. Zhang Xingye (both detained in the sixth ward)

The most severely injured practitioner is Mr. Xuan Guoying.

Daqing Prison Phone Numbers:

1. The detainee is locked up alone in a very small cell. The guards handcuff practitioners on their back in a fixed position such that they can neither move nor lie down. The small cell is very damp and no sunshine comes in. Detainees have to urinate and defecate in the cell. Only half of a regular meal is served to detainees locked up in a small cell during the daytime.
2. There are two forms of this torture: (1) With both hands cuffed behind the back and only toes touching the ground, one is hung by a rope that is tied to the metal window frames; (2) One hand of a practitioner is cuffed to one bunk bed and the other hand to another bed, and the two beds are pulled in the opposite directions.
