Overseas Practitioners' Efforts Encourage Me to Become More Diligent

(Clearwisdom.net) Although I am living in China, where the persecution of Dafa practitioners is severe, I often feel the selflessness, supreme effort and power behind the truth clarification efforts of overseas practitioners. Practitioners inside China continue to resist the persecution in an adverse environment, while practitioners outside China give us selfless support, which is a powerful force. Even though I am not very diligent in cultivation practice, I decided to search for my own shortcomings, get rid of attachments and do the three things diligently.

I am working at a news organization. All of my colleagues used to be members of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). However, since they have learned the facts about Falun Gong, half of them have withdrawn from the CCP, and I will continue to try to convince the others to quit as well. One day in 2004, I explained the true situation about Falun Gong and the persecution to a colleague, who was deceived by the Party and refused to accept the truth. He said that the CCP was hiding the truth from the masses, but that Falun Gong was fighting a losing battle. I told him that Falun Gong has spread to nearly 80 countries, and that only the CCP is conducting an irrational persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. My eyes moistened as I talked about the spread of Falun Gong across the world. I realized that the efforts of overseas practitioners are taking some pressure off Falun Gong practitioners in China. This was the first time I experienced the enormous support from practitioners outside of China.

One day in 2006, while I was on duty at my workplace, the telephone rang. I answered it, and it turned out to be a recording of The Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party. I realized that was a phone line from overseas explaining the true situation. I was eager to talk with the other party, my fellow practitioner overseas, but it was only a recording. After putting down the phone, I felt very cheerful. At the same time, I felt that I was far behind in cultivation compared to my fellow practitioners. I realized that I should cultivate myself more diligently so that I will be worthy of Teacher's mighty compassion and saving grace. I will try hard to do the three things well and become a genuine cultivator, so that we can advance diligently together.

Recently, while attending a cultural forum, I saw a former colleague whom I hadn't seen for seventeen years. He talked warmly with me , but he had to leave soon and I walked out with him. While we were waiting for the bus, I explained the true situation about Falun Dafa to him and persuaded him to quit the CCP. During our conversation, I learned that he also received a call with a recording of The Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party. I suddenly realized that he had come to be saved.

I feel the deep need to say, "Thank you for your great efforts," to overseas practitioners! You are restraining the CCP thugs, reducing the pressure on Mainland Chinese practitioners and saving countless sentient beings.

As practitioners in Mainland China, we shouldn't rely on practitioners outside of China, and we should walk well the cultivation path Teacher has arranged for us. While reading Teacher's articles, I have learned of the contributions overseas practitioners have made and found that I lagged behind in cultivation. Only if we do the "three things" well, are we worthy of our respected Teacher's merciful salvation, as well as the title of a Fa-rectification period Dafa disciple. Let us cultivate ourselves more diligently and try our best to save sentient beings.
