(Clearwisdom.net) The following are incidents of persecution and torture of Falun Gong practitioners in Mengyin County. What is described here is only the tip of the iceberg.

Ms. Guo Feng, 57 years old, is from Zhenxiguan Village, Mengyin Township,Mengyin County, Shandong Province. She is a retiree of the Mengyin County Brewery. Ms. Guo Feng had been in poor health since childhood and was not able to take care of herself when her illness worsened. She had a bad temper because of her poor healt,h and her family worried about her. When she started to practice Falun Dafa in 1996, she restrained herself with "Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance" and became more and more easygoing. All of her diseases disappeared and her dramatic changes brought joy to the entire family.

After Jiang's regime started to persecute Falun Gong practitioners on July 20, 1999, Guo Feng started to clarify the facts to people. However, because of this, her home was searched several times. Later, she was fined and mistreated to the point of insanity.

On September 7, 2001, Guo Feng told the people around her the facts of the persecution. That afternoon, three police officers from the 610 Office of the Mengyin Police Department intruded into her home and confiscated all her Dafa books. Ms. Guo Feng's 11-year-old daughter witnessed the arrest of her mother. She was so scared that she ran to a neighbor's home. The police pursued her and wrote down the neighbor's name. Later, they threatened to contact her neighbor and the neighbor was also frightened.

Ms. Guo was arrested and detained at the Mengyin County Brainwashing Center by the 610 Office. The head of the 610 Office, Lei Yancheng, and accomplices Xing Xianying, Fang Simin, Jiao Yuxiang, Li Baoyuan, and others did not allow her to sleep. Zhang Yong, Wang Wei, Liu Zhaoguo, Sai Jiafeng, and other police officers from the 610 Office of the Mengyin County Police Station colluded with Lei Yancheng to use excruciating tortures on Falun Gong practitioners. Ms. Guo Feng was illegally interrogated for 45 days. During that period, police officers beat, kicked, insulted ,and threatened her. Lei Yancheng and Fang Simin instigated subordinates to drag Guo Feng by her hair from the room to outside. They slapped her in the face and also forced her to erase the words "Falun Dafa is good" that practitioners wrote on the wall.

People from the 610 Office also tortured Guo Feng mentally. They forced her to watch videos that slandered Master and Dafa, brainwashed her with Communist Party doctrines, and compelled her to write statements criticizing and renouncing Dafa and abusing Master.

Due to the physical and mental torture, Guo Feng became mentally unstable. She tore up all of her clothes. Lei Yancheng, Fang Simin, and others instigated subordinates to handcuff Guo Feng to the bed. At last they released her after they had extorted 3000 yuan from her.

In the spring of 2002, Shen Jingcheng, who was from Xiguan Village, along with one man and two women from the 610 Office, confiscated Guo Feng's home. Her daughter-in-law's room was turned upside down. Having to deal with this persecution, her family members were scared and threatened by the arrogance of the authorities. Her husband was so frightened that he beat and kicked Guo Feng and wanted to divorce her. The daughter-in-law also opposed Guo Feng's practice. She threatened to divorce Guo's son, so he threatened to cut all contact with his mother. A former happy and harmonious family treated each other as enemies thanks to the 610 Office.

Ms. Gong Deai is from Beiguan Village, Mengyin County. She used to have a gastric disease, had difficulty eating, and was not able to work. Later, she also developed headaches, bronchitis, and other diseases. She had to depend on medicine and injections to maintain her life. Every year she had to spend several thousand yuan on medical expenses. Because she could not work, this was a heavy burden to her family. When she started to practice Falun Gong in 1997, all of her diseases disappeared. She was again able to eat and work like a normal person. Her demeanor became calm and she looked like a new person.

When Gong Deai was distributing information materials about the persecution of Falun Gong on the evening of December 28, 2002, she was reported to the police by someone who did not know the truth. The police from Mengyin County arrested her and took her to the brainwashing center of the county's 610 Office. The leader of the 610 Office, Lei Yancheng and his subordinates Fang Simin, Jiao Yuxiang, and others did not allow her to sleep. They forced her to sit on the ice-cold cement floor for an entire evening, which caused her to have diarrhea. Police officers from the 610 Office also illegally confiscated her family's property. On December 29, Ms. Gong was sent to the Mengyin County Detention Center and tortured further. One of her past diseases, tracheaitis, suddenly manifested again and she could hardly breathe. Lei Yancheng then forced her family to pay 5,000 yuan for her medical release.

Ms. Ying Ruichun, 62 years old, is retired from the Mengyin County Feed Company. She was in poor health and had multiple diseases. Especially during the ten years before she started to practice Falun Gong, she suffered from kidney inflammation. This disease caused her to be miserable beyond description. After obtaining the Fa in 1994, her kidney disease disappeared. Ying Ruichun is now in good health. She thanks Master and Dafa from the bottom of her heart. Dafa gave her a healthy body and made her family peaceful. However, after July 20, 1999, she was illegally detained and fined many times by people from the 610 Office. She and her family had to spend their days in terror.

In February 2000, Ms. Ying received a notice from the Mengyin government authorities demanding that she participate in a "study," which was in fact a brainwashing session. At that time, the location was not even fixed, and after several days, they had to move. Those in charge tried to force practitioners to slander Master and Dafa. Ying Ruichun suffered a three-month-long spiritual devastation.

In May 2000, Mengyin County Feed Company executive Liu Qingsheng announced that was "holding a meeting," which deceived Ms. Ying Ruichun into going to the brainwashing center operated by the Mengyin County 610 Office. In the middle of the night, certain people who had been instigated by the Mengyin County propaganda department minister Lei Yancheng suddenly kicked in the door of Ying Ruichun's room and walked in. One of them verbally abused Ying as he kicked her to the floor. Another assailant went over and sat on her. He used one hand to hold her head and beat her face with the other. He slapped her face dozens of times. Ying Ruichun felt dizzy and had drumming sounds in her ears afterward. Her nose and face swelled. Her attacker stopped only when he got tired.

Another time Ying Ruichun passed some articles to other Falun Gong practitioners and the authorities discovered it. A police guard suddenly burst into her room and demanded, "Was it you who gave out the articles?" She didn't reply. A guard then fiercely kicked her on the chest and she almost fainted. Then the guard grabbed her hair and hit her head against the wall. Bits of hair flew everywhere and a bump the size of an apple appeared on her forehead.

Ying Ruichun had been illegally detained for two months at the Mengyin County Brainwashing Center. She was very weak but they still forced her to hand in a 400 yuan "boarding fee." They also deducted 540 yuan from her salary every month for 18 months.

In October 2001, after midnight, police officer Wang Wei and others from the Mengyin County 610 Office suddenly pounded on the door and entered Ying Ruichun's home, arresting her again. At the center, she was interrogated by 610 Office head Zhang Yong and his subordinates. She firmly refused to cooperate with them. Mengyin County authorities Li Zhiye and Lei Yancheng sent Ms. Ying, Ma Fumin, Feng Guangyun, and other practitioners to a brainwashing session held by personnel of the Wang Village Detention Center in Shandong Province, Zibo City. They carried out intensive brainwashing sessions, forcing practitioners to watch videotapes that slandered Master and Dafa. They also forced practitioners to write statements denouncing their beliefs, deprived them of sleep, and so on. Practitioners were illegally detained at that brainwashing center for one month.

When Ying Ruichun returned home, she found out that Li Zhiye and Lei Yancheng had secretly deducted 3,000 yuan from her salary as payment for a so-called "study" fee at the Wang Village Brainwashing Center.

During Ms. Ying's several years of illegal detention she was mercilessly beaten many times. The Chinese Communist Party extorted a total of 13,120 yuan from her. This persecution has created enormous mental pressure for Ying Ruichun and her family.

Ms. Chen Xueai was employed at the Mengyin County Honda Company of Shandong Province. She started to practice Falun Gong because of her backache, leg pains, and a gynecological disease. After practicing Falun Gong, she strictly adhered to "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." All of her diseases disappeared and her family became more harmonious. After the persecution of Falun Gong began, she was detained, brutally tortured, and fined large amounts of money.

In September 2000, police officer Shi Zengxin from the Mengyin fourth police district deceived Ms. Chen into going to the fourth district and forced her to leave her fingerprints on two prepared pieces of paper.

In October 2000, when she was at work, three police officers suddenly rushed in, arrested her, and took her to the city's police station. They interrogated her and asked, "Where do these articles come from?" Chen Xueai refused to reply. The police used their leather shoes to attach her feet and ankles so that a layer of skin immediately peeled off. She had to endure extreme pain. They tortured her brutally for almost an entire day. Later they sent her to Mengyin Detention Center to be held for 15 days.

After they released her from the Mengyin Detention Center, they immediately imprisoned her at the Mengyin County Honda Company. After two days, Ms. Chen was sent to a brainwashing center controlled by the Mengyin County 610 Office. The county's Communist Party boss, Lei Yancheng, and the politics and law committee secretary, Li Zhiye, forced practitioners to watch videos slandering Master and Dafa,and to write so-called "conversion" letters. They also forced Chen Xueai's husband to accompany her to the brainwashing sessions for more than 20 days. She was fined 11,000 yuan (she paid 5,000 yuan in cash and her company paid 6,000 yuan). After they returned home, the Honda Company again forced Chen Xueai's husband to reimburse the money, otherwise they would not allow her to work again. Her husband had to borrow the 6,000 yuan. Moreover, people at the County 610 Office also deducted 14 months of Chen Xueai's salary.
