Ms. Li Zhengying and Her Daughter Ms. Zhao Fengxia from Tongliang County, Chongqing City Suffer Persecution at a Forced Labor Camp

(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Dafa practitioners Ms. Li Zhengying and her daughter Ms. Zhao Fengxia from Tongliang County, Chongqing City traveled to Chongqing looking for a job. Along the way they visited an old schoolmate at Chongqing Renmin School. They were arrested by police from the Shangqing Temple Police Station and taken by force to Daping Detention Center, where they suffered abuse for 15 days. On July 6, 2007, they were moved to an unknown location. On July 11, 2007, their family members learned that they were imprisoned at Shimahe Women's Forced Labor Camp in Chongqing City. The family rushed to the camp but were not allowed to visit. On July 12, 2007, labor camp officials called Ms. Zhao Fengxia's family to inform them that Ms. Zhao was unable to speak. Shimahe Women's Forced Labor Camp, originally the Maojiashan Women's Forced Labor Camp, moved to this location at the end of 2006.

Ms. Li Zhengying started to practice Falun Dafa in 1998. Prior to practicing she had all sorts of ailments throughout her body. She was unable to take care of herself and depended entirely on her husband's assistance. Ms. Li followed the principles of "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance" to guide her in becoming a better person. She received a pension due to her disabilities, so she donated her savings to impoverished children, the elderly, and to schools for the poor. She received high praise from county leaders and residents, and was elected to be a commissar of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.

When the persecution began in 1999, the County Police Department, the 610 Office and others demanded that she give up cultivation. She received threats that her position in the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference would be retracted if she did not quit. Because Ms. Li Zhengying did not give up cultivation practice, in January 2001 she was taken by police to the County Detention Center, where she suffered abuse for more than four months.

In order to provide for their family Ms. Zi and Ms. Zhou went to Chongqing to look for a job. Now their 90-year-old bedridden grandmother is at home with no one to take care of her.

Deputy directors at the local police department Zhang Xuelun (male), Chen Changlong (male), and Dai Yi (male), along with others, continue to participate in the persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners.
