A Young Practitioner Respects Teacher and the Fa

(Clearwisdom.net) My daughter Yuanyuan is nine years old. Ever since she became a practitioner, she has respected Teacher and the Fa. From the few instances below you can see her kind and pure heart.

When Yuanyuan was six years old, she had not started practicing yet. At that time, I had just recently begun my practice and did not have a deep understanding of the Fa. One day, I showed her Teacher's photo and told her that it is Teacher who's the best and greatest Teacher in the world. After that day, whenever Yuanyuan saw Teacher's photo while she was talking, she would cover her mouth with her hands. I did not understand why she was doing that. I asked her and she said she was afraid that her saliva might stain Teacher's photo, which was not respectful to do.

Later on, she often suddenly asked, "Mommy, can you tell me who the best person in the world is?" At first I did not know what she meant. I told her that the person would be like her grandma, her mommy, etc. She smiled and said, "It is Teacher."

Because her dad was strongly influenced by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and is against Dafa, he is very strict with my daughter. When Yuanyuan was seven years old, I began to lead her to practice Dafa. She and I live in one room. Each day after turning off the light, she would listen to Teacher's nine-day lectures. When she was eight years old, Yuanyuan began to read Zhuan Falun. At first, she read very slowly and each day she read only one to two pages. Later I told her that many Dafa practitioners read the Fa while sitting cross-legged. After that, she began to read the Fa sitting with her legs crossed.

One day she recited Hong Yin. Afterward she said, "Mommy, please turn the page to the one with Teacher's photo. Hold it straight, please." I thought she wanted to look at it, so I turned the page. I did not realize that she had knelt down to kowtow to Teacher. I felt sad that I had ever compared myself with my daughter who showed such respect to Teacher and the Fa although she had just obtained the Fa.

Last year I heard fellow practitioners specifically discussing an experience sharing: In Shaanxi, while a practitioner was reading the Fa, she sat there holding the book, Zhuan Falun, with one hand. The left page was dangling down. She kept studying the Fa. Suddenly, she saw many Buddhas and Bodhisattvas kneeling down, holding the dangling page with respect. Later on, I read an article published on the Clearwisdom website saying that the divine beings have recorded everything Dafa practitioners have done, including how they studied the Fa and did the practice. Some fellow practitioners were studying the Fa while kneeling, some were sitting with crossed legs. I told both instances to my daughter. Since then she began to read the Fa while kneeling. It began to get warmer in April and May in the south. She closed the door (being afraid that her daddy would notice what she was doing). She was soaked in sweat but continued to study the Fa while kneeling. I told her to study the Fa while sitting with crossed legs. She said, "Practitioners in the first row were kneeling. That is showing respect to the Fa. I should kneel." After she got up, she rubbed both her legs. I felt happy for her.

On May 13, 2007, I prepared a birthday cake to celebrate Teacher's birthday. After picking up the cake, both of us happily kowtowed to Teacher. In the evening, we cut the cake. Her dad also came home. Yuanyuan said, "Daddy, today is a good day." Her dad did not understand why.

Recently, I had to travel a lot for business reasons. My daughter became worried and said to me, "Mommy, please do not go." She cried as she begged me. I told her, "I am pretty busy. However, your dad is at home." She told me, "If you leave home, I will lose my Fa study environment. I will not have enough time if I do not cultivate well since I obtained the Fa late." I told her, "As long as you do things following the Fa's requirements, you should be able to find time and the opportunity to study the Fa." My daughter said she would study the Fa more diligently.

Since then, I also hope that other young fellow practitioners strive forward diligently and return to their original homes with Teacher.
