Authorities at Xi'an City Women's Labor Camp Lace Falun Gong Practitioners' Food with an Unknown Substance for an Extended Period of Time

(Clearwisdom.net) Division Head Ren (male, his first name is unknown) from the Second Division in Xi'an Women's Labor Camp (also called Shaanxi Women's Labor Camp) incites the drug-addict prisoners to feed an unknown substance to Falun Gong practitioners.

Yan'an City Dafa practitioner Ms. Li Shulian, who is illegally detained in the Second Division of Xi'an Women's Labor Camp, was sentenced to the forced labor camp for a third time. She is locked in solitary confinement where she is forbidden all contact with the outside world, and, two drug-addict prisoners keep her under constant surveillance. At each meal, one inmate opens a capsule filled with a powdery substance that the Division Head gave her and pours the unknown white powder into Ms. Li Shulian's bowl, afterward mixing some broth and vegetables in it. She takes the vegetables and some steamed buns to Ms. Li Shulian and the Falun Gong practitioners in the other solitary cells. Then the other section of the labor camp starts their meals. After Dafa practitioners eat the vegetables, their stomachs swell. They feel weak, get headaches and nausea. They want to vomit when they see the vegetables. However the Division Head said, "Don't have any appetite? Force-feed them if they want to hold hunger strikes and cause trouble." Ms. Li Shulian must have ingested a lot of this poison because she has withered down to skin and bones. Sometimes she feels bloated and has stomachaches so severe that she is not able to eat anything for five or six days. Falun Dafa practitioners who are locked in solitary confinement have eaten the poisoned vegetables for an extended period of time. Some of them are swollen all over their bodies. Some of them look similar to Ms. Li: only skin and bones.

Both Ms. Li Shulian and her husband were teachers in a nursing school, and both practiced Falun Dafa. After the persecution began on July 20, 1999, the couple was sent to forced labor camps at the same time for upholding their belief in Truth-Compassion-Forbearance. After they finished their terms in the labor camps and were released, their work units quit paying them and put them on suspension. Taking their son with them, they left their home to look for work in another city. They were arrested by police officers from the Yan'an City 610 Office and sent to labor camps again. During the past eight years, their lives have been a living hell because of the persecution perpetrated by the CCP, Jiang, and Luo's Group. They have had no home, no income, and no freedom. Their son has become a beggar. Their family is shattered and there is no one left to care for their aging parents.
