Texas State Representative: "I Could Feel the Compassion in the Performance" (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On the evening of January 9, 2008, many local government officials attended New Tang Dynasty Television's (NTDTV) Chinese New Year Spectacular. Texas State Representative Erik England attended the show and said that he could feel the compassion at the show.

At the dignitary reception prior to the show, Texas State Representatives Erik England and Paula Pierson issued a resolution for the Chinese New Year Spectacular. Rep. England, the state representative for the area, and Rep. Pierson jointly wrote and issued the resolution to New Tang Dynasty Television. "We are excited about New Tang Dynasty Television being here and bringing the show to Grand Prairie and metroplex."

During the intermission, Rep. England told the reporter that he felt the performance was excellent, and that the dances, choreography, and the performers' dance movements were wonderful.

When asked what he thought of the performance depicting Falun Gong practitioners being persecuted in China, Rep. England said that he had learned about it earlier and he was very sad. He said, "The show does a great job of telling that story and bringing that to the Americans, a way that we can appreciate it. [They] have that compassion for the struggles that have gone on for so long and ability to overcome that."
