Walking Your Cultivation Path Well

(Clearwisdom.net) I thought I had closely followed Fa-rectification and done the three things fairly well. However, one incident today shocked me and made me rethink things.

After group Fa-study today, most practitioners had left except Practitioner B and me. I asked Practitioner B if she wanted some truth-clarification booklets. She said, "If you want to give me some, I will take them. Otherwise, fine with me!" She also said I treated her differently than other practitioners. I did not know what to say.

After she left, I could not calm down and kept thinking about what she had said over and over. I also looked within. I noticed I did treat practitioners differently and for a long time could not be compassionate to her.

For quite a while, Practitioner B has not been diligent. She has never contributed to the cost of truth-clarification materials. Plus, she has attachments to material interest along with other human notions. When I saw her attachments, I tended to criticize her with human notions instead of kindly pointing them out. This had led to the situation today. It is indeed risky. Many of my deeply-hidden attachments are now exposed: looking down on others, showing off, arguing with others, material interests, etc.

When clarifying the truth to everyday people, we occasionally encounter people that say bad words or have bad tempers. Nevertheless, we treat them with as much compassion as possible in order to save them. To our fellow practitioners, however, we are unable to be compassionate. How serious this is! We Dafa practitioners are one body, and we can no longer let the old forces take advantage of this. After realizing this, I immediately talked with Practitioner B and invited her to come to Fa-study often. I also told her that we needed to improve together and leave no one behind. Pleased, she nodded. I was also very happy, because Practitioner B had frankly pointed out my attachments today and woken me up. By looking within, we can improve together in Dafa.

"I say that because during the journey you will have hardships, tests of every sort, unforeseen ordeals, and you will have unexpected interference from all kinds of attachments and emotion. The interference will come from family, society, good friends, and even fellow cultivators. And along with this there is interference from changes in the state of human society and from human notions that were formed in society. All of those things can drag you back to being like an ordinary person. But if you can break through all of it, you can advance towards godhood." I will remember Teacher's words in my heart and walk my cultivation path well.
