Persecution at Xishanping Labor Camp In Chongqing City

Chief Lei Kejin (male) of Second Team, Seventh Ward of Xishanping Labor Camp in Chongqing City, along with manager Qin (male, given name unknown), blatantly instigated drug addicts (all male) Wen Huaguo, Liu Bo, Liang Gu, Feng Xin, Zhao Disheng and others not named, to force Falun Gong practitioners Mr. Deng Liping, age 63, Mr. Li Wenlong, mid forties and Mr. Ren Chechuan, 36, from Xipeng Town, Chongqing City to write so-called three statements denying their beliefs.

Food deprivation, violence, threats, and sleep deprivation are among the methods used to coerce the practitioners to recant their beliefs. Wen Huaguo struck Deng Liping's with an iron bar. The drug addict, Chen Kang (male, from Yuzhong District, Chongqing) stepped on the chests of Falun Gong practitioners Mr. Pan Yuanjun and Mr. Deng Baishou. He struck their backs with his elbow, forced them to squat for two hours, forced them to clean the toilet and wash clothes, and extorted money from them.

Inmate Zhuo Bo (male) from Nanchuan District, Chongqing poured cold water on Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Cheng Changjun's (teacher of the18th middle school in Chongqing) while asleep in his bed, and forced Cheng to sleep in the wet bed.

December 2007, Zhuo Bo poured cold water on Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Wang Zhihai because he was snoring in his sleep. Because of his snoring, Mr. Wang was frequently beaten by the drug addicts.

For several days, drug addict Qiu Lin (male) kicked Falun Gong practitioners or beat them with bamboo blocks, or electric wires. Mr. Luo Jiaoyu (from Liangping County, Chongqing), unable to complete a task as ordered, was whipped by Qiu Lin with an electric wire and kicked, causing bleeding in his chest. Practitioner Mr. Zhou Qingyu was beaten by Li Liang (male). His neck was injured, but he was denied medical treatment.
