(Clearwisdom.net) Doroter could be the longest-tenured usher at the Sony Center in Toronto. She loves to see performances and has worked there for eleven years. After seeing the 2008 Chinese New Year Spectacular, she said she thought the Divine Performing Arts' show was amazingly rich in its inner connotations and that it "touched her soul." She said we could find our sacred origin from it.

"Chinese classical dances are beautiful! There are so many stories and so much inner meaning behind each dance. I loved the dances 'White Lotus on the Snowy Mountain,' and 'Mongolian Bowl Dance,'" she said. "I also liked the opening act 'Descent of the Celestial Kings.' In the legend, the Lord King led the numerous divine beings to descend to the human world. The Buddhas and Gods were so awesome that I cried. It reminded me of similar Western myths. Perhaps we were also one of them; we also descended from higher levels with our missions. Yes, perhaps we also came here a long, long time ago. That's kind of a strange feeling, I cannot make it clear to myself. I just love these kinds of spiritual references."

Doroter continued, "I like the Tibetan Dance, perhaps because I understand a great deal of the spirituality behind it. I have never been to China, but I have seen lotuses in pictures. I know the lotus in Buddhism is a sacred symbol of purity and enlightenment. It also symbolizes that a life can be uplifted to even higher levels. I have some knowledge of Chinese culture, and I know that it is one of the most ancient cultures, broad and profound, and that it contains many spiritual references. Just like the first program, I think we could find our sacred origins in Chinese culture.

"The show conveyed to me a strong message about pursuing beliefs and the freedom of the soul. My understanding is that, in China under the rule of Communist Party, the Chinese Communist Party cannot tolerate anyone who wants to practice Falun Gong or any other authentic belief. I came from the former Communist Poland, and I know why that evil Party cannot tolerate Falun Gong's spiritual belief. Authentic beliefs allow people to think on their own. If people can think independently, there will be huge strength. They will not be easily controlled. Conversely, if people only obey commands and do things without thinking for themselves, they will be easily controlled. The Communist Party does not want people to know what is right and what is wrong."

She said finally, "I want to learn more about the inner meanings behind the performances, so I feel it is worthwhile for me to see the show several more times. The more I see it, the deeper I will understand it. I feel that there are even deeper meanings in the Divine Performing Arts' shows. Perhaps they will encourage people to think about their true origins and lead them to look for the truth and the beauty in life, not only the beauty in the performances."
