Associate Professor Ms. Fu Huajing of Hebei Province Dies as a Result of Persecution

(Clearwisdom.net) Sixty-two-year-old Ms. Fu Huajing was an associate professor at the Chemistry College of Hebei Normal University. She began practicing Falun Dafa in 1996. During the eight years of the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong, she clarified the truth under huge pressure. The intense pressure and brutal persecution destroyed her health. She passed away at 4:00 a.m. on January 4, 2008.

Fu Huajing's husband, Mr. Liu Jiting, is also a Falun Gong practitioner. He was not able to see his wife before she died. Mr. Liu was a Falun Gong volunteer assistant. After the persecution began on July 20, 1999, he was persecuted repeatedly as a so-called "important person." He was detained, tortured, and forced to write a guarantee statement. His home was searched and he was deprived of the right to work. In late 2000, he was sentenced to three years of forced labor because he clarified the truth. In early March 2006, Duan Xinyue from the Security Division and officers from the Hongqi Avenue Police Station took Liu Jiting away when he was clarifying the truth in the west district of Hebei Normal University. He was sentenced to three and a half years of imprisonment, and he is currently detained in the Jidong Prison in Tangshan City.

Before practicing Falun Dafa, Ms. Fu Huajing suffered from severe diabetes. She went everywhere for medical treatment, which became the top priority for the whole family. In 1996, she started practicing Falun Gong at a friend's suggestion. Her health improved, and soon all of her illnesses disappeared. There were big changes in both her body and mind. Afterwards, she influenced and guided many people to practice Falun Dafa.

On July 20, 1999, Jiang Zemin launched the suppression of Falun Gong because of his jealousy of the rapidly increasing popularity of the practice. During the past eight years, Falun Gong practitioners have been resisting the persecution peacefully and clarifying the truth. The CCP members at Ms. Fu's university, her neighborhood committee and local police persecuted Fu Huajing repeatedly. They employed all kinds of means to threaten Fu Huajing.

At around the time the persecution began, Ms. Fu Huajing was detained in the university hotel for over 15 days. In late 2001, Chen Baolei, from CCP Party Security of the Chemistry Department, led people to take Fu Huajing to a brainwashing center, i.e. so-called "Hebei Provincial Legal System Center," where she was detained for three months. Soon after being released, Ms. Fu's old illnesses returned and she was hospitalized twice. One year later, she resumed practicing Falun Dafa. Her symptoms soon disappeared, which further steadied her resolution to keep practicing Falun Dafa. She deeply understood that practicing Falun Dafa is a being's only hope.

In 2006, Fu Huajing and her husband walked around the campus and her husband distributed several copies of truth-clarifying materials. A guard reported them to chief of the security division, Duan Xinyue. The police then took them away, and her husband was sentenced to imprisonment.

Before the Chinese Communist Party's 17^th Congress, Party secretary Huang Yongle led people to "visit" Ms. Fu Huajing's home. This "visit" was actually a way to harass and threaten her. Each "visit" put Fu Huajing under huge pressure, which made her very nervous and tired.

The persecution of Fu Huajing's husband was also a major source of stress. Especially after Liu Jiting was sentenced in 2006, their children were busy and there was no one to help take care of her.

Due to the CCP's harassment and persecution, Fu Huajing's health gradually deteriorated. When she was hospitalized for a month, her relatives kept contacting the Jidong Prison where her husband Liu Jiting is detained, but all of their requests were refused. Before she died, her family members begged the prison to allow Liu Jiting to see his wife's face one last time, but the prison did not allow it.
