Mr. Wang Deqing and Mr. Zhang Lizeng Illegally Imprisoned at Shandong Province First Detention Center

(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Dafa practitioners Mr. Wang Deqing and Mr. Zhang Lizeng are currently imprisoned in the Shandong Provincial First Detention Center in Jinan City. Wang Deqing was illegally sentenced to a six year prison term and Zhang Lizeng was illegally sentenced to five years in prison. Both were forced to undergo brainwashing.

Mr. Zhang Lizeng is from Donghanzhuang Village, Zhongzhuang Town, Yiyuan County. In November 2006, Mr. Zhang was arrested by Yiyuan County Public Security Team, Criminal Police Team, the Zhongzhuang Police Office. He was imprisoned in the Yiyuan County Detention Center, and while there, he was handcuffed and chained to the cement floor of the prison cell, stripped naked and tortured.

Mr. Wang Deqing is around sixty years of age and is a resident of Nuanshuihe Village, Wujing Town, Linqu County. On January 23, 2007, he was arrested in his home by Yiyuan county 610 Office chief, Wu Shulin, with five other accomplices who crossed their jurisdiction to arrest and imprison Mr. Wang in the Yiyuan County Detention Center. Other participants include Linqu County 610 Office chief Chen Qiang and police from the Wujing Town Police Station.

In February 2007, during the Yiyuan County Court hearing, Mr. Wang Deqing testified that all of the signatures confessing to the crimes listed by the 610 Office were fabricated. The signatures were written by the 610 Office officials holding his hand while he was physically tortured and beaten and in a near unconscious state. All of the other signatures were also signed in a similar manner; after he was starved and deprived of sleep for four days. When his consciousness was not clear, they forced him to sign the papers.

In May 2007, Mr. Wang Deqing's family visited him in jail. He told his family that if he were still imprisoned in the Yiyuan Detention Center, he would have been dead a long time ago. When a 610 Office policeman by the name of Yang kicked his chest, the injury from the blow caused his angina to recur. Even though it was New Year's Eve the police refused to release him. They were fearful that he might die while in their custody and they took him to the hospital for treatment. He stayed in the hospital for about a week. Later he was transferred and imprisoned in the Jinan jail where he underwent daily brainwashing sessions.

In May 2002, the Yiyuan County police officer Wu Shulin went beyond his jurisdiction authority to Linqu County and illegally arrested five Falun Dafa practitioners and sent them to labor camps for "re-education" (brainwashing). Wang Deqing was among these five people. At that time, Mr. Wang was very physically weak because of his illness, and the "re-education" center refused to admit him; he was therefore sentenced to house arrest. At that time, Wu predicted that Wang would not live more than three months.
